I'm from broward county south florida going to cali with a few friends for the first time, any tips on what to do??

The pier at Santa Monica is pretty cool, Venice Beach is always interesting. You didn't mention what you like to do or where in cali you'll be. It's a huuuuuge state so that will make a big difference for the suggestions As far as eating Roscoes House Of Chicken & Waffles is a no brainer. That if you're in the LA area and kuje Chicken and/or waffles. If you're going to be up north I have no suggestions.

The BonaVenture is an aging hotel although still very good. I stayed there a couple of months back. Be prepared to get raped on parking though. Downtown parking is very expensive pretty much everywhere.
LA is really big. Santa Monica, Venice etc are all good spots. I live in the bay area up north. We have more outdoor stuff. Seems like LA has better nightlife.

Don't walk around at night. And give yourself plenty of time to get anywhere. With traffic it will take you 1-2 hours to get anywhere.

The beach commmunities are really the best. Do run about Hollywood though, Sunset and all that, you'll see lots of places that have been in stuff like Entourage and Californication.

I've never been but I hear California's wine country is pretty cool. Although I've never been one for big cities so maybe that is the only part of CA I've ever been interested in.

Disneyland California park pretty cool (i go about 10 times a year better than disney world last time i went to disneyworld at least))) SD zoo is cool. SF is fun to explore. In and out double single extra grilled onions is good hehe.. I go to pismo / Moro bay / and monetary bay aquarium alot.

pfft So Cal is the best part of California. Nor Cal is a shit hole and stay away from the Inland Empire. If you're going to be in the LA area, hit up Long Beach and the South Bay. Best weather is in those two places, not to mention lots of shit to do.
