Be very very wary of what you say about INTEL. I heard they have embedded spy devices in their products to track the activities of those disloyal to their cause (world domination). I must go right now I hear a knocking at my door. I wonder who it is.

Thanks to AMD giving competition to Intel and the two titans duking it out in the processor market, Intel had to lower its prices to compete. There is no telling what we would be paying if they weren't around.
I am a big AMD fan and since I started my job which was formally Intel territory I have managed to shift the balance to majority AMD slowly but surely. Soon we'll have no Intel CPUs left.

Yeah, I've been shifting my work to AMD. Those durons are amazingly cheap, and PLENTY fast for word processing and internet which is what most people at my job do on them. The new applebred durons run pretty cool and are a great chip IMO too. AMD got a bad rep early on for its K6 series and a few little flubs like the pally. But overall, they really do make a good product. Its a shame their marketing is so bad.

I have had 0 processor failures from AMD. I haven't had an intel I can remember either...but most of the machines are AMD now. I feel they are just as solid as Intel at this point.
