Weekend sale on all D&D including Baldur's 1-2, Icewind 1-2, Neverwinter, Planescape, Temple of Elemental Evil.

The discount is based on how many you buy, but also includes any you already own (from GoG) -- so if you own PS:T from them already and buy 2 new games you get the 3-game discount.

1 = 20% off, 2 = 25% off, 3 = 30% off, etc.

I still have CDs for everything above except Icewind 2 and TOE, but it's tempting to get others just for DRM-free, disc-check-free, fully patched versions.

Been wanting to play through all of these as I missed almost all of these RPG's. I guess I'l be buying BG1&2, NWN, Icewind Dale 1-2 and PT this weekend.

Now the question is where will I find the time ot finish all of them.

Everytime I see the words "Neverwinter Nights" I have such fond memories. What a ridiculously great game that was.

if you mean NWN:HOTU and NWN2 then yes. NWN1 was such a drag. some of the multiplayer modules were totally kickass though

I know it sounds like heresy, but I tried to get into Baldour's Gate, (#2 I believe), and just could never get into it. Dont really know why. If I remember correctly, it was on Gametap when that service first came out. I did like NWN.

Which is better, Icewind Dale or Planetscape??

Planescape Torment has pretty much the best damn story line ever and is just an awesome game too boot. Icewind Dale is much more action orientated game.

I just did a review of the whole pack.

9 full games + 8 Expansion packs . . . all for ~$34.

I already have a couple on CD's, but this is just an amazing deal.

To me NWN is ALL about the toolset and the thousands of custom campaigns, modules, and persistent worlds made by the fans. That's what made it one of the best games ever (arguably the best RPG ever released). The original campaign was tossed in at the last minute just for the sake of having one, though HOTU was pretty good.

I really wish they sold the Mac edition of NWN...

However NWN1 had some of the greatest user created content of any game I've ever played. I'm not sure if it's still around but NWNvault was amazing.... I can't remember the author's names but there were two who were head and shoulders better than everyone else at creating good stories. Anyone who doesn't yet own it should immediately buy PS:T. Sadly, I can't recomend ToEE as I didn't care for the UI in that one.

Hmmm. Tempting. Might get everything but IWD1 and PS:T since I already own those. How is ToEE?

If I recall correctly (I bought these the last time they went on sale near Xmas), the game does not work beyond creating a character. Or at least it did not for me on Windows 7. Could be a fix, hadn't really looked for it.

I've still got my BG, ToSC, BGII, ToB, and PsT disks, so no need to buy those. I bought NWN from GoG and liked it. I got ToEE from GoG and hated it. It might be time to get ID 1 & 2 and go for the 4 game discount. I have some bootleg disks of ID but never got around to playing it.

ToEE works fine on Windows 7 right out of the box, I may have enabled a compatibility mode last I played it, but nothing else is required. The game does have a very active community patch and mod team however, so I'd recommend people check out the Circle of Eight on ModDB. http://www.moddb.com/mods/circle-of-eight-modpack

As for the game itself, if your a fan of the other games in the pack, you should definitely enjoy it. It has the best combat of all of them in my opinion.

I'm not usually a big fan of turn based RPGs, but ToEE was a pretty cool game, and the graphics are actually quite nice.

I've heard so many great things about the games, I think I'm going to get:

BG1
BG2
Icewind Dale 1
Icewind Dale 2
Neverwinter Nights
PS: Torment
Temple of EE

That's a TON of gaming hours for only $30. But I'm not much of a RPG player and know very little about D&D games, rules, etc. What's a good game to start off with?

Start with PS: Torment. It might very well be the best RPG ever made.

I think I might recommend Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale before PS:T.

Get the basics of the infinity engine down before you step up to PS:T. BG has a great tutorial.

PS:T is a must play, though.

It was designed for that, but man I though the tools were hard to use. They had books on how to use them, I bought one, looked at it and didn't look at it again.

When you buy that many, you might as well get them all. The extra 5% off on all the games makes the last one cost under a dollar. Start with BG1 maybe?

Just bought the entire set. now the only question is what to start with. I'm thinking BG1 or Icewind Dale 1.
