Goddamn I spent $250 on a freaking rice cooker

Get making some sushi rolls! I know you are probably a bit of an expert at rolling already. 😉

i always forget about it and burn it or something. i have a $20 rice cooker from wal mart. but i only make rice 2 or 3 times a month

Whoa! DUDE. That's the same rice cooker my family has. That thing rocks. Unfortunately, no blow jobs are given, so...

I was about to say that's nuts, but then I remembered I want to spend $350 on a stand mixer. Who knew cooking could be so expensive 😉

Nice! I'm gonna guess that it's a Zojirushi 😀

Sadly, I don't eat much rice now that I live out here in Phoenix...no more family dinners. 😛

wouldn't this one better?

As viper mentioned, it's not induction heating

Oddly enough, that was the one I was originally going to get before finding the one in the OP

I guess it's kind of comforting knowing others have spent that much too lol

Yes, knowing that you aren't the only person who thought they needed to pay hundreds of dollars to do what the rest of humanity has been doing for centuries with a simple pan has got to be a real gas, man!

😛

There's absolutely no reason anybody should spend more than $50 on a rice cooker. You measure rice, pour in correct ratio of water to rice, push the cook button on the cooker, done. Must be nice buying expensive shit that does the same thing the cheap stuff do. This is similar to the one I'm using, bought it for $20.

If you were to actually read the description, you would clearly see that the one in the OP is capable of much more than cooking rice =P

I eat brown rice 2-5x a week. Of course, after buying this, that number will probably go up. Evidently there's a cookbook out there with a ton of 1 pot creations that you make with a rice cooker, so that will probably be coming along too 🙂
