Thank god for arranged marriage or I will never get married

I thought that you were completely against marriage anyway?

I'm against marriage to Western and Career women.

Which may explain your virginity at the age of.....how old were you again? 25?

Then I thought to myself, I should pay for these people's dinner and leave a business card, and tell them I think you are cute and I would like to get to know you better, but alas I didnt do it.. it took balls to do it and I didnt have it at the time..
Sorry, but that screams of extreme desperation.

says the guy who "gets chills down his spine when he hears clay akin" haha

i don't think it would have been a bad idea at all.

He was going to pay for 3 someones dinner who he

1) Doesnt know
2) Didnt ask out to dinner
3) May have a boyfriend
4) Two of which are seeing each other.

1. yes I dont know them but its a good way to make new friends
2. see point 1
3. yes she may have a boyfriend.. but she may be single
4. I did not plan to hit on the one with the bf

Lets get some female input in this thread. I thought if I did that she would be flattered and at least I woudlve gotten a phone call (well if she is single).. or maybe she will think of me as a sick pervert lol

some female input:

imho, they probably would have thought you were a nice guy and she (the one you thought was cute) probably would have been flattered -- but I doubt she would have called you.

Guys should call. If you were interested, you should have talked to them longer and eventually asked for her number (if she was single).

Dude, what the fsck? Don't pay for their dinner unless they are:

A. On a date with you.
B. Someone who just helped you with something you couldn't do alone.
C. Hot and you want them to abuse that.

how is this different than buying drinks for a girl in a bar?

It's a lot more expensive, plus people in bars are generally more receptive to being asked out..

Buying drinks is pretty bad too. You don't need to buy someone's attention.

you snooze you lose. the worst thing that could have happened is he made 3 new friends for the night and ended up losing out on 40 bucks.

the best thing is he could have made a new gf, and a few life long friends

Or three people who he'll never see again because they think he's some creepy guy.

how desperate do you have to be to consider paying for some random girls dinner for no reason whatsoever. It sounds like you still believe that you can buy a girls attraction to you. YOU CANNOT. You can't be buy a womans affection with gifts, and other "nice" bullshit. Thats not how attraction works.

It would have been way more smooth to ask to join there table and chatted up the whole group and before you left casaully gotten the girls number.

you have a long long way to go here.

Even that would have been weird IMO. Thats just not how it's done. There's nothing casual about that.

"Hey I noticed you guys speak great mandarin, I've been meaning to practice lately, mind if I join you guys?"

He couldnt lose with this. If they say no then they arent the type of ppl he'd want to know anyways.

you suck at picking up women! if you buy them dinner and leave a business card, it looks like you're trying to recruit them into a pyramid scheme.

you could have just been complimentary and kept the chit chat up until they looked comfortable then asked, "Hey, you wanna grab some boba tea later?"

Randomly buy them dinner? Fvck no, but you should have done something a little less drastic, as opposed to nothing.
