EVGA has been very good for me... also, recently I bought ZOTAC. Both offer full lifetime warranty on most of their products, and I've had no problem getting warrenty service when necessary.
These warranties are a sham, if it works you are lucky if not forget about it, don't waste your time and money. Only time I have luck is when I buy something from a brick-n-mortar store and something goes wrong within 30 days... when I buy online I just assume the risk. I had bad luck thrice with newegg too, not I don't call them anymore.
I never understood the concept of "you have the pay the shipping" whats the point of the warranty then? as I said its a sham.
Not enough rage...
I understand the frustration . . . but you could have replaced the fan yourself for less money than the shipping.
And voided the warranty. I was trying to do things the right way. I asked on the first call if I could just be sent a new fan and they turned me down. This time they are saying they will send a fan, which I still feel isnt acceptable way of doing things, but whatever
That's one problem I have with calls, you have no record of what is said. Wonder if calls should be recorded for future reference when they change their story.
Does anyone know of a company that has any better service? I dont care to pay more for a reliable company?

I had a similarly crappy experience RMA'ing a video card to gigabyte. It was a radeon 850xt that had corruption when playing games. I had sent it back twice, each time getting the exact same card back in return. I complained for a third time, and they outright refused to replace the card. After that, I refused to ever buy from gigabyte again. My guess is that they return your card as long as it posts, and will refuse to honor their warranty on cards that they no longer have stock of.
I have had positive RMA experiences with MSI, ASUS, XFX, and Sapphire.
