Write a brief e-mail or letter to corporate with all relevant facts and information, including your problem and the expected outcome. Inform the addressee that if they don't comply, you are forwarding the complaint to the FTC and the State AG's office.

I just got off the phone with them, they didnt have a good answer as to why I hadnt been issued an RMA number, but they sent one while I was on the phone. I'll keep you guys updated if you'd like. I know often times I will base my personal buying decisions based on the customer support experiences of others. I'm hoping this doesnt get any worse from here

EVGA has been very good for me... also, recently I bought ZOTAC. Both offer full lifetime warranty on most of their products, and I've had no problem getting warrenty service when necessary.

Now that I think about it, I had great luck with EVGA as well. Looks like they will start getting my business in the future.

I just had to RMA a 8800gt with EVGA that has the lifetime warranty, I thought I was SOL when I could not find my receipt. But I sent an email to the head of the warranty department with my sad sad story and he approved the RMA anyway. They ended up sending me a 450gts as a replacement.

These warranties are a sham, if it works you are lucky if not forget about it, don't waste your time and money. Only time I have luck is when I buy something from a brick-n-mortar store and something goes wrong within 30 days... when I buy online I just assume the risk. I had bad luck thrice with newegg too, not I don't call them anymore.
I never understood the concept of "you have the pay the shipping" whats the point of the warranty then? as I said its a sham.

Thats a bad way to look at it in my opinion. If they only want to warranty something for 1 year, then only claim a 1 year warranty, dont sell something you dont want to back.

I understand the frustration . . . but you could have replaced the fan yourself for less money than the shipping.

And voided the warranty. I was trying to do things the right way. I asked on the first call if I could just be sent a new fan and they turned me down. This time they are saying they will send a fan, which I still feel isnt acceptable way of doing things, but whatever

That's one problem I have with calls, you have no record of what is said. Wonder if calls should be recorded for future reference when they change their story.

They ignore email, and if they do respond its several days later with some form letter that doesnt even address your problem, so why bother

I did a RMA on a BFG 8800GTX and had no problem with their service. It had a limited lifetime warranty of 10 years and I want to say the card was 3 yrs old(It was one of the originals). I paid for shipping and they promptly returned a working card.

I recently did a video card RMA with EVGA and their service was simply outstanding. Extremely fast turn around, and instead of a refurbished card they sent me a brand new card in a sealed box with all the accessories.

So, everyone loves EVGA is the point... seems fishy, like this was all planned by their marketing department

I had a similarly crappy experience RMA'ing a video card to gigabyte. It was a radeon 850xt that had corruption when playing games. I had sent it back twice, each time getting the exact same card back in return. I complained for a third time, and they outright refused to replace the card. After that, I refused to ever buy from gigabyte again. My guess is that they return your card as long as it posts, and will refuse to honor their warranty on cards that they no longer have stock of.

I have had positive RMA experiences with MSI, ASUS, XFX, and Sapphire.

Im glad its not just me, I think in the future I'll stick with EVGA.
