The Mandate is for war against all countries that sponsor terrorism. Syria promotes and sponsors and harbors these groups.
Show me some proof.
By the way, Bush saying "Syria supports terror" is not proof, and Fox News saying "Syria aids terrorists" is not proof.

Whoa, are you kidding? Syria has been sponsoring terrorism for decades. Aside from Afghanistan, i can't think of another country that is a bigger supporter of terrorism.

Yeah, but have they directed their terrorism towards us? Has any Syrian group been responsible for an attack on the US?

So are you saying that terrorist groups are fine just as long as Americans aren't hurt directly by their actions?

And my question is, why if terrorists groups are based there no matter who their target is does he have no concern at all for their victims? Does a terrorist group in Syria cause instability in the ME? If their target is Israel does that not undermine a peaceful settlement of that problem? By prolonging the I/P conflict does that not cause Americans to be in danger?
Try to see the big picture. Don't limit yourselves to just the point that you can use to bash the US.

Over 200 marines killed in Lebannon just to think of one right off the top. And you do know Lebannon is a puppet regime of Syria.
However it appears Syria is showing some cooperation now, and that looks hopefull.

Yeah, but was there any proof of direct Syrian involvement?

For those of you who do not understand how deeply FOX, and its owner-empire controller Rupert Murdoch are involed Read about it
He has made his empire by entangling his influence in every country where his media network operates by cattering to the Political Leadership, pandering in fact.
Whatever the Chinese Government wanted - he delivered for political favors.
England - he's the King of Sensation & Tabloids, drivel for the uneducated masses.
Australia - Jump ? How high & what color.
An indication of the depth of his colusion in the U.S. is the involvement of the Weekly Standard which has creepy William Kristol advising on U.S. Foriegn Policy.
The Republican Party and Bush Administration even has written and passed FCC laws for the benifit of Murdoch alone - and nobody else.
The pay-back for this favoritism is the Conservitive press and media coverage that is "U.S.A. All The Way" promote the Patriotic message.
The mindless will follow without questioning, as the fervor and 'Posse Mentality' makes them fall in line.

So I'm eating some breakfast this morning, while my parents are sitting in the living room hunched over and drooling while watching the Fox News channel, like usual. All damn morning they've been going on and on and on about everything that's wrong with Syria and why they should be next for "regime change".
GOD DAMNIT! AREN'T 2 FVCKING WARS ENOUGH FOR YOU BLOODTHIRSTY BASTARDS? We're not even done with the war we started with Iraq and these fvcks are already flapping their gums about who we should attack next! I'll bet within a month they'll have a good third of the American public convinced that Syria was responsible for 9/11, just like they did with Iraq.
And if that's not bad enough, they continue to bash the French every opprotunity they get. Every other thing they say is "The French have ties to...", "The French say that...", "A Frenchman did...", and so on. How long are they going to keep this sh!t up?
:|
Edit: And another thing, stop saying that you give "Real journalism, fair and balanced." Al Jazeera is more "fair and balanced" than you! :|
Read the nonsense posted in the post between yours and mine and tell me that his opinion - although completely opposite - is any different.Originally posted by: Alistar7
Why, because I think his parents deserve a little respect for allowing him to live there?
The only reason he is "subjected" to this is his decision to live there, so I am supposed to feel sorry for him? Worse yet, it warrants taking up good AT bandwidth so he can whine about what his parents like to watch on TV? My suggestion was right on target.
Of course reading the thread again puts the word juvenile in my mind as well:
