I never have trouble with gmail. When everyone esle says it is down it is still working for me so maybe the problem is not Google.

I'm pretty sure that I've never ever had yahoo go down besides in cases when it was my ISP's fault,.

I use gmail and yahoo intensively and i have to say gmail is down more than yahoo. In fact I don't ever remember yahoo being down at all.

GMail goes down according to my GMail notified sometimes, but I've never not been able to log in.

Well, don't forget that GMail isn't publicly released yet. It's still in it's testing phases. I think this was made clear at some point before you could use GMail. If you don't like it, give it up, beause I think it may still be in testing for a while.
