I can never remember Gmail being down once for me and I was one of the eariler users when invites were going for $75 on Ebay.

i have only experienced downtime once a few months ago and i log on dozens of times a day, i love gmail to no end.

sometimes the Gmail preview does not work from the customized Google homepage but the times I actually go to gmail.google.com and cannot sign in are very rare.
The times I do get an error message and it is still there after waiting five seconds and hitting refresh are virtually non-existent.
