BTW-is there any agreement between the Google and its beta users that these beta accounts won't be cancelled at the end of the test?

I mean Google might say "thanks for input" and yank the rug out from under you.

Google has a life. The short answer to your question is "no."

Yeah, Google might not like all this capitalism and find a reason to level the playing field.

I mean you can see from there intension's about their IPO that they don't like the skulduggery that takes place in normal IPO's and are trying to change the rules. This could get interesting, in a hurry.

There's a guy on google's BOD that I'm a friend of. I'm not allowed to be chatty about things but suffice it to say that's not gonna happen.

People inflate Google's profitability. Sure the IPO will make them rich, but let's see if google can actually make enough money to warrant their stock offerings. I predict a rerun of the techboom hysteria, followed by a drastic fall.

They have a great search engine, that's for sure. But that doesn't make them business savvy or worth the idolatry some of you accord them.

I have a hunch that lots of people are going to abuse the 1 GB storage limit, and Google will have to scale it back a bit. Almost anything is better than the puny 6 MB limit that Yahoo gives me, though.
