Where is the outrage over Subarus stop sale of almost 50,000 cars due to steering issue, with the same warning to owners to not drive them. Whoops

Not American made ->> doesn't fit narrative ->> no outrage.

GM makes millions of cars per year (no, not of the affected models), this QC problem was found within weeks and executed while the number on the road is in the hundreds. It's not the best outcome, but it's a fairly good one.

My '05 Chevy needed 3 recalls done so I took it in last week and asked the service writer to have them check the tranny fluid level (since you need the car running, level, and on a lift because it has no dip-stick). Went back later after it was done and the tech wrote "no dip-stick" next to the request to check the tranny fluid. No shit Sherlock, that's why I was asking YOU to check it!. Service writer offered to do it as soon as a bay opened up, I just said fuck it and left. A $3,500 part that runs on fluid with no means for the owner to check fluid. Genius...
