A US official (may not have diplomatic immunity) was being chased down by a couple of armed robbers (or possibly terrorists) and decided that instead of being kidnapped or killed, he'd take them out and he did with his Beretta. He's being held by Pakistani police right now and they're investigating what happened to determine if he'll be charged or not. Personally, I don't see any charges being brought against him for self defense and if there are any brought against him, the US should make sure they don't stick and he's given a free ride back home. I know if I was being chased by a couple of armed guys on a motorcycle in a foreign country, I'd have done the same.
