Give me some arguments why homosexuality is wrong and should be declared illegal.

Okay so based on what I know about homosexuality, I do not consider it a wrong thing. I feel that same-sex marriages should be allowed.

However I realize that there are many people who think differently. I respect the fact that people have differing opinions, and see it as a good thing. I would like to invite such people to present their views and change mine, if possible.

Here's a catch, however. The arguments made against homosexuality and same sex marriage must be scientific and non-religious in nature. Therefore, please do not make arguments like "The bible considers it a sin".

The bible says two men ought not lay down together. I think the institution of marriage is sacred and should remain between a man and a woman. That said, I am in favor of civil unions between people of the same sex so they are not discriminated against when it comes to benefits, such as those available to married men and women couples. It's my perogative to not agree with homosexuality. I'm not going to advocate against it, just go about your business and don't be in my face about it.

Marriage (also called matrimony or wedlock) is a socially or ritually recognized union or legal contract...

Religion isn't mentioned.

A likely discussion point avoiding religious "talk" is in relation to survival of the species. If we argue that specie survival is paramount, then anything that interferes with that process would be immoral and could possibly be legislated.

Why is it wrong? Because it goes against everything nature intended, physically it shouldn't happen.

Should it be illegal? No, I dont care what you do on your own time. As long as your decisions dont affect me, I dont care about them. I just think being gay is stupid and would never want to be with someone of the same sex.

How about Ovaries release hormones in the body that create a sex drive. That prior to ovulation that women have more hormones and therefore increase their need to have sex.

Really what's odd is when people who support homosexuality think that the only thing indicating it's wrong is religion when honestly human history/evolution/biology is the greater factor.

It goes against nature to have men attracted to men and women attracted to women. There is no scientific basis behind it. In fact, billions of years of evolution indicates we should have none of it left in existence.

You are confusing sex and marriage in your first paragraph I think. Marriage is a man made concept, not nature.

Thats my reasoning behind same sex marriage, its not natural for a man to be attracted to another man the way he should be attracted to a woman.
But like I said, I dont give a rats behind what you choose to do. As long as it isnt affecting me, im fine.

Right. Can we actually conclude these animals are homosexual? Just taking penguin as an example, its said you can't even tell physically a difference between the males and females. So was the male-male penguin interaction based on them seeking out another male or they just didn't know any better? Do these "gay" animals exclusively seek out members of same sex, or would they also try to mate with the opposite sex?

They say dogs are smart, but I've seen dogs try to get it on with a stuffed animal.

Why do I even need to type this? And you call me doubling down on stupid.
 

Also genius. Where do sex hormones come from? You know the ones that influence your sex drive? Could it be the ovaries in women? What is an ovary? What does an ovary contain? Eggs? What's that? What are those for?

Marriage isnt exclusive to Christianity. That religion doesn't get to determine what marriage is just because its fairly prominent in this country. Marriage can be done completely through the state.
