BTW I convinced her to get this laptop because she's not very computer literate. The OS is intuitive, easy to use and everything just works out of the box. The biggy is actually the tutorials. Apple's tutorials are well rounded. The cost was not too much of a concern to her. She just wanted an easy to use / stylist laptop and the macbook is a perfect combination.

The All Things Apple forum is in the SOFTWARE category... he's talking about the hardware which count as gadgets/gear. If you people can't figure out the difference between hardware and software then something is fucking wrong with your brain.

i'd like to upgrade my macbook pro to a new one... I have the Penryn Mid'08 one from the Feb'08 refresh. I'd like a unibody version.

With that said I don't see myself buying one unless I can get that free iPod deal + student discount as I recognize MBPs are a ripoff.
