Not a good analogy considering "PC" isn't a brand with tightly controlled hardware and a single proprietary desktop OS.

Although Apple has opened up a bit on the hardware front in recent years, their products are all strongly linked, and I think this justifies a single forum for their products.

Maybe you could post some artsy photos like your gf not wearing a shirt but holding her macbook in such a way that it covers her breasts. Make sure it's black and white. Add red highlight to the lips then a blue highlight to the Apple logo.
 
I'll never understand how the focus of comments from Mac lovers is about design/looks versus function/performance.

I mean I appreciate having something that performs and looks good but my main priority is performance and function, not looks.

And I'm posting from my MPB and only use Macs for my personal and work use and have an iPhone.

I was reading a thread over at Macrumors about the new Office for Mac 2011 Beta 3 and 80% of the comments were people bitching about the freaking LOOK of the apps icons! WTF?!?! Nothing about how many new features and functions it was adding for Mac users or that it's the first release to come out where they've done away with Entourage and have a full fledged Outlook that's nearly apples to apples to the Windows version finally.
