So you think it's an interesting thought exercise to consider that someone says that the men who stormed Omaha Beach were toxic in their masculinity? Really?! I have family that served and some that died in WWII, as do many others. Were they also toxic or was it just the men on Omaha Beach?

That's an awfully cheery outlook for something that is testing people's resolve not to turn towards their base instinct of rage and violence.

We ARE still apes. Threaten us and we smash things. So when I see something communicated with complex narratives I first have to check myself to wonder what it is I am seeing. Then I look towards the next man to posit his response. I'm not sure they're having the same reaction. What am I to do, try and explain the meaning of toxic masculinity? Those words are a non starter. To utter them you might as well tell people that men are evil. Their reactions will rage before I can cross the threshold towards mutual understanding.

They think shots were fired because there is a distinct misunderstanding of what, exactly, is being said. People of one perspective are wholly ignorant towards the perspective of the "other". Do you think wars were ever started over a bad translation?

Nor sure if I am cheery or not but I do think that the averaging of individual personal ethical evolution provides the base line for our cultural evolution in general and that the proper way to advance the cultural needle in a positive direction is to evolve yourself.

Hope you didn't think I thought you were equating the two. I was simply saying that if you do equate the two then it would be both inevitable, and potentially even interesting, if you find it fascinating how illogical thinking leads to imbecilic conclusions, to note that such an absurd notion would be the product. It seems on looking at what is going on at some liberal colleges and their virtuous shaming and silencing of opposing points of view, that there is in fact a shared radical feminist notion that men are inherently evil, that they hold a power position in society that is toxic to out of power groups and that logic and argumant that supports those in power is dangerous and not allowed. If you say that reason itself is a power dynamic of masculine oppression, you have entered the world of irrational madness. I see the same kind of mad reasoning in this thread.

We know the OP is a representative of the toxic right, lets silence anything and everything he has to say. I don't have to think, I can just look at the size of his red bar. Well, no, I don't want to play that game because I can see problems with ad derived morality even when I can agree with it. I don't care what the real motive of the OP was, so long as he couches his argument in terms that question the same things that I have concerns about. I am looking at the case made not the person who makes it and getting triggered by my feelings about him.

From what I have read the OP is expressing himself without any problem. Not only that but we're responding to it like he wanted. Everything seems to be working as intended and there's no silencing going on.

As infants we all babble. It is only when you understand your own babbling that you can truly see. You would know what Moonbeam is telling you, and why. Instead of innocent babble though, you've provided a certain context, your own logic for how the world works. Entirely inconsiderate for the possibility that someone wholesome and innocent, someone deserving of love and compassion, could have a different perspective. Such as the OP.

Not trying to silence? Does the boot not silence the ant? Yes words were delivered, but hatred was returned. The innocence of the person, of us all, maybe silenced forever.

I guess you're naive enough to imagine you're the first people who ever thought of saying you don't care to mask the fact that you do. How dare those proud toxic males exist. I am here and care about what I see as a need for less ideology and more openness to what others have to say.
