where? in maine?

 i live in NC. i consistently run into people who don't live/aren't from/never lived in NE that claim to be Pats fans this football season.

i hate fairweather/bandwagon fans.
Last time I lived in New England was '82.

However, I have supported the Pats since the AFL days.

The Red Sox are a different story - I have always ben ambigious on them.

Positive for the Celts and Bruins.

its not so much as bandwagon fans. its many understnad what the odds on a team going 16-0 is. The pats are a great team. they have a great amount of talent and it is fun to watch them (long as they don't play the bears that is).

i am rooting for them saturday. BUT i do want them to lose in the superbowl LOL.

not sure who to root for to go all the way. Since my Bears are out of it i don't really care. soppose i will root for GB.

The * stays, deal with it.

But, but they didn't use it to win games, right? And everyone does it, other teams just don't get caught.

if you really think that other teams do not do such things (it has been admitted on TV) and that they used it to win games this season you are ignorant.

I do agree that it is possible to put on last few years. BUT this year they are being watched closely EVERY game. I am very confident that after the 1st game they are NOT doing anything shady.

The team is very talented and that is why they are 15-0. that * you keep putting up just shows that you are ignorant.

Other teams get caught (Jets last year in the playoffs against the Pats) but it's a coaches gentlemen agreement to deal with it and not complain to the NFL. Mangina broke the code which is why he's ostracized now in the coaches world.

Parcells did it. Seifert did it. Shanahan does it. Paulxcook cries about it. You're a baby.

edit - How are the Pats cheating this year? Oh wait, they're not.

pfft.

neither would go for that Farve wouldnt be a backup to anyone and Brady would get tired of Farve being the story heh.

which is why they should send either to Chicago in exchange for Rex and Griecie!

For the record, Capt Jackass, YOU are crying about it. You made an issue of it in the first place. I type the * so often on NFL boards it's like second nature, and I'm certainly not changing my behavior here just because every fan from NE whines like a bitch every time someone has the audacity to not bow down in worship of the New England Awesomes.

You have no idea what Mangini is or isn't ostracized from. You aren't part of the NFL. You don't have any inside info. You have no idea what the hell you're talking about. You're making up situations that better fit your view of the world, which is par for the course for a NE fan. There are so many of you all in one concentrated area up there you just listen to each others' BS all day every day and assume that's how the whole world is. If you paid any attention when the initial scandal came out, you'd know that plenty of other coaches and GMs starting piling on with stories about how unauthorized cameramen and weird audio headset glitches seemed to happen while playing the Patriots***. I don't know how much to believe said stories, but it isn't like Mangini is so cut off by the rest of the NFL community. When he leaves the Jets in a few years he'll find another job.

For the record, I truly hope the Pats* go 16-0, so the '72 Dolphins can stop their stupid champagne celebration every year. Then they can get bounced out in the divisional round, and Golden Boy can enjoy his record-breaking season while watching the AFC Champ Game from home.

If you'd like to continue this stupid argument, feel free to PM so the topic doesn't get locked.

please, you've displayed your ignorance in every ball thread i've read. you're a long-winded, say nothing stat whoring steeler homer.

i love the way you try to find any little twist to disparage the pats while claiming to be unbiased. "belichick did nothing in NE until brady was under center". they came to NE the same freaking year!

and the pats shutout the steelers in the second half, 17-0. but yeah, you out-rushed us, lol. nicely done. i don't rmember TOP or average starting field position, i'm sure you have iut on your fridge, secured with a little steelers helmet magnet.

for someone who apparently spends alot of time reading/watching football, you know surprisingly little about the game.

Rise I have forgotten more about the game than you will ever know. The only thing you know about football is the last 6 years of NE history. I have been watching the game for over 30 years and have studied the history that came before my time. Care to discuss the dominant teams of the 30's/40's/50's, the players of those eras, Paul Brown's legacy, the evolution of the passing game, origins of revolutionary offensive and defensive schemes, too bad you can't. They might of come to NE the same year, but Brady was riding the pine until Drew went down. Typical NE fanboi, can't even read a post correctly without making an incorrect assumption and jumping to defend your team. :cookie:

Blinder I have complimented the Pats on many occasions, defended their accomplishments this season in regards to the taping issue, and have outright said I will be rooting for them to have a perfect season outside of any matchups against Pitt. I have no problem discussing them with real fans, just not the fanbois. Not one Pats fan here is willing to acknowledge any of their weaknesses. That is not discussion, it is just zealotry. Those 'what ifs" were not fabricated scenarios, they were actual plays in the game where Pitt made a mistake, otherwise the game would have turned out differently.

Phokus keep ignoring Harrison's use of HGH and the advantage it gave, perfect example of the inability of the Pats fanbois on this board to honestly discuss their team. You guys remind me of the Pats trolls infesting Pitt/Cowboys/Colts forums all over the web, no class, no football knowledge, and zero insight.

Capt. Jackass? Enjoy your vacation.

Obviously, you don't follow the news. Brian Billick and other coaches have called out Mangina for what he did. Also, it's been discussed that Mangina will have a hard time finding another job after the Jets. Please do some research before you speak. Stop your crying, it's tiring.

edit - So, it was okay for Mangina* to have camera men in both endzones of the Pats/Jets Playoff game? Oh wait, Belichick had them removed but didn't cry to the NFL about it.

i crack up whenever i see you tell others how much football knowledge you've forgotten. nobodies arguing, believe me.

the same useless stats and "quantifiable ways to measure how the steelrs are on par with indy, pats and dally" are now littered with excuses. lol. "take away 4 plays, injuries, inexperience, etc and we would have tied them!!"

nice try. you've been babbling all year and you just continue to prove yourself more and more ball retarded.

and 6 years? no. we've had season tickets since schaeffer opened. you're prolly a bit deal older than i and you obviously like reading and watching football, but it doesn't mean you understand it, which is rather evident.

someday maybe.

A shame Big Ben didn't get the start in the first game of his rookie year. They likely would have went 16-0 that year instead of 15-1 after losing that first game.

Another 'What If' from you. Sadly, the Steelers got manhandled by the Ravens 30-13 and Ben wouldn't have made a difference. Then they lost in the AFC Championship to the Pats!

Giants are probably gonna sideline their key players so they can get some rest and let the younger players get some experience. That said...

GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Big Surprise - Marshall Faulk chose the Giants to win. Guess he's still sore from that beating he took back in the SB. What a douchebag.

Any word yet whether the Giants will rest their starters and go with backups?
