I tried going through Legion, but all of a sudden the Legion turned on me when I fast tracked to their camp. I am pissed! Broken quests, even if fixed with a patch, require a new game start. Soooo many hours worked just to have to start all over again.

Well they are at war. You wouldn't walk into an allied camp packing heat in a
nazi uniform

I have never before liked the alchemy portion of any game, and this doesnt change it. Will probably not use unless I have to. Looks like they dumped the stupid schematics though, which is nice.
BUT, I do like weapon mods, assuming I can remove them later and use on better guns.

Should I fuck, kill, or ignore Sunny Smiles?

I'm too lazy to collect stuff, so didn't bother with the reloading or work bench (i.e. crafting). The way I horde items, ammo and guns though, I've never had any issues.

I have played about 3-4 hours or so,had one crash but so far no major issues,I'm still exploring local areas and taking my time amazing how much junk you end up with so I guess I should be more choosey on what I pick up lol...

Hand Loader is too good though. And you don't really need to collect parts. You just break down 100 regular ammo and make it into 60 uber ammo.

Chick wont equip the guns I give her. She keeps using that lame ass 10mm. She's got infinite ammo but still.....

She equipped the brotherhood power armor so thats nice.
Any way I can force her to use weapons? I dont use 9mm any more and that SMG has some upgrades so its pretty nice.

Bought the PS3 version of FO3. It froze often enough for me to get rage and put it down. Was told to get PC or 360 version as they both had the same patch scedule... and Bethesda confirmed it.

Got the 360 version. First new game... Froze 360.

No f'n way am I paying more than 15 bucks for Bethesda pile of crap again. I don't care if Obsidian did this one. They too have a lot to answer for with Alpha Protocol's buggy nature.

Don't sell me an immerse game world and go out of your f'n way to take me out of the immersion by boardroom hijinx.

Think the NPCs will only use certain types of guns. For example, Boone only uses sniper rifles (includes Gauss, Anti-material). Almost all of them use any melee weapons though.

You must give her ammo pertinent to the weapon you want her to use, as well as the weapon.

Same with every character, I think.

I gave her ammo, but she still only equips the 10mm pistol. Good news is she will take an upgraded pistol with laser and silencer, which is cool. Now I dont have to worry about her setting off alarms.

Went with Cass for most of today. She takes a few more weapons like the 9mm SMG and some rifles. BUT, she's a dumbass. Keeps starting fights I dont want. Ditto ED-E.

I may have to dump my helpers for a while, at least on the strip. Too much bullshit.

Don't need 'em at all.

But ed-e is nice to carry extra loot... and you get other perks from companions. (Spotter perk, etc.)

Alright, I may or may not have fucked up.

It looks like theres at least three endings to the game.

-Take over Mr House, his Casino, and the whole strip for yourself.
-Help NCR make allies and fight an epic battle at Hoover Dam.
-Plot against NCR with Legion and maybe some others to take the Dam.
Not sure how the Brotherhood fits into any of those, if possibe.
Also, since I whacked Mr House I will never know what it would have been like to see him win. Was that a good one to do?

OK, so I talked to Yes Man, loaded him into the network, and upgraded all my bots.

Now theres a quest item telling me if I continue to work with Yes Man, the NCR will no longer accept my help. Looks like I've got a serious decision to make. Maybe I should sleep on it. Gonna make a hard save in any case.

Just started a new melee/unarmed character. Loving. It. Called her River Tam, and it's just so satisfying to charge someone then punch his/her head off with one hit. There an assload of perks for unarmed/melee too. Thought I'd need to up my gun skill to compensate, but having absolutely no problem with just melee now that I'm past level 10.


There's more than 3 endings. Talk to the robot 'Yes Man'. Brotherhood doesn't play a major role, but they play a role. I've tried all endings except Mr. House; I can't bear to go with him knowing his real condition and appearance...

Funny how I am watching Firefly at the moment .

I'm 35 hours into the game and haven't hit the strip or most of the northern parts of the map. The writing and quests are a definite improvement and the game is generally more fun to play than Fallout 3 IMO. I often find myself striving to stay within range of the Black Mountain radio frequency so I can listen to Best Friend Tabitha and Rhonda, haha. The ending part of Vault 11 was a real kicker as well, I had a feeling those stealthboys had to be used later on. I haven't even finished my first playthrough and I'm excited about starting another character and going through it again.
