Ghost Recon Irregularity

In the single player version of the GRAW demo, I stick around the 40s and 50s with all settings all the way up, but as soon as I get in multiplayer (Hamachi), it drops down and stays in the high teens to low twenties.

This has really got me confused, especially since it happens no matter which part of the map I'm on, what I'm looking at, or what is going on around me. My FPS are literally halved - even with just two people on. And this occurs regardless of who is hosting the game/Hamachi network.

Specs:

3500+ Clawhammer
Gigabyte nF4 motherboard
2GB Corsair ValueRam
Sapphire X1900XT (8.241.0.0)
X-Fi Music

I'd appreciate any help.

Is your proc oced? I know multiplayer generally puts a bigger strain on your cpu so if it's not up to the challenge it might explain why your frames drop so much. Maybe try overclocking it a bit and see if that helps.

Even with just one other person in co-op multiplayer? I've conferred with a few others and they've reported very little difference.
