Hmmm, yeah...I guess not updating the thread is mature non retarded behavior towards the people he was asking help from. Even if some are retards here (hint: look in mirror) doing something like this would make him part of that group

She had a work-permit id on her which did not list her address and having moved recently, no one could figure out where she lived. Thankfully, she had insurance and so did the driver of the car.

Thanks to one of the helpful members on this board, I was able to contact a hospital hotline and track her.

She's been my girlfriend for 4 years and yes, in real life.

Why did I come to ATOT with this? Because there are helpful people here, people who may have experienced similar situations. I got the hotline number within a few minutes of posting.

Everyone who cared and was concerned, thanks - I appreciate it.

To the people who made a mockery of the situation, I hope that you never have to go thru a similar situation involving a loved one.

funny this update came just after someone (JulesMaximus) theorized about making up a story about a hospital if he didn't want to admit the truth. Anyway this update is missing some details and sounds suspicious. How did you find her and what kind of accident was it and injuries....And thanks for only updating the title three days later a%$#e.....

If your SO disappeared, you worried for days, then found out he/she was in the hospital (for whatever reason), would you HONESTLY put responding to this thread (where people also said nasty things while you were suffering with worry) in your top 100 list of things to do this week? Even if she is in the hospital for a relatively minor reason, his concern and need to focus on her welfare at the moment, vastly outweighs his need to respond to our curiosity, no matter how well intentioned.

Not if she was sleeping with some other dude. I'd probably make up some story about how she was in the hospital and hope everyone felt really bad and that this thread would die.

Interestingly, this update from the OP followed the above post after 2 hours 23 minutes -

Coincidence or stupidity ? decide for yourselves. If you don't believe this chain of events, go check the thread's history, it's all documented

Also I'd like to mention the fact that the thread title was not updated until 2 and half days later -

Gee, genius, could it be because he told us on 05/01/2005 at 08:37 PM that she was in the hospital????? At least read the whole thread before opening your anal sphincter and gassing us with your theories.

edit: typos

If you actually read the thread, you will see the OP told us she was in the hospital before any other person mentioned it. Why don't you look at messages posted at the time and date above, clearly long before your "suspicious activity" sighting... You tell us the thread is a body of evidence but seem not to have read it very carefully before making some pretty harsh allegations.

What are we going to lose by letting him get away with his story, even if it is bs? He's provided an update and said the matter was closed. It's not like he's trying to attention whore this. If you've got evidence that says he's a liar, feel free to present it. Otherwise I don't see what your issue is. Right now all evidence to the contrary has to do with listing times and dates and saying, "sounds suspicious." If he is telling the truth, you're retarded. And if he's not, nobody's lost anything but a couple minutes.

Who's we Holmes?

we as in us, the collective

People don't let him get away with this

User1234... your reputation on these forums already isn't too swell. Drop the subject and stop trying to catch someone in a lie. All you are doing is trying to cause problems. If he is lying (which i highly doubt) then that is his business not ours.

If he's lying and you let it go, case closed, then you are establishing a precedent for anyone to come up with made up stories on ATOT just to see people's reactions. Although it is not causing you physical harm because most people treat this forum as just an interesting read and not a serious source of information, still this kind of behavior (posring made up stories) is disrespectful and obviously is intended for the benefit of the poster alone to ROFL about what everone is saying. I'm not sure if tthis is the case here, but many times in ATOT you can tell for sure that it's a BS story which the OP posted just to get a kick about all the commotion that it raises (example: someone posted a story that his wife of 16 years is leaving him because of an online affair with someone she never met - anyone that thinks it's real please stand up).

And btw, I could n't find any post around the time you mentioned that indicated he gave an update before someone said he'd post a fake hospital story. If you really saw a post like that then please quote it here so we can clear any misunderstandings.

Stop posting. Most parodies or BS stories are done in such a way that they are obvious, and that provides entertainment and humor. There's nothing entertaining or humorous about this one.

Exactly.

Additionally i normally dont bring post count or anything up but, this is a diamond member who has been here for 2 years. He is not someone to just make some crap up.

I dont know why you are so hell bent on trying to create an argument User1234 but this is ridiculous. Stop posting, you are an insult to even the trolls on this board, not many of them would even stoop low enough to criticize someone about this issues (that is after he found out where his GF is).
