She was in a car wreck with a friend. She was rushed to hospital and regained consciousness this morning & is in a stable state. She had a work-permit id on her which did not list her address and having moved recently, no one could figure out where she lived. Thankfully, she had insurance and so did the driver of the car.

Thanks to one of the helpful members on this board, I was able to contact a hospital hotline and track her.

She's been my girlfriend for 4 years and yes, in real life.

Why did I come to ATOT with this? Because there are helpful people here, people who may have experienced similar situations. I got the hotline number within a few minutes of posting.

Everyone who cared and was concerned, thanks - I appreciate it.

To the people who made a mockery of the situation, I hope that you never have to go thru a similar situation involving a loved one.

Good luck dude and my best wishes for her recovery.Yeah some idiots people on this board....sad they cannot be serious 1 second...

Man if a situation like that would happen to me i would freak out totally...

Im a little late post but...

Glad to hear everything is turned up OK.

As for all the crap responses:
1. Posting in ATOT while isn't a very smart idea, you can usually get very good advice. There are usually a lot of people that will lend a helping hand. In his case obviously he didn't think the situation was severe enough to call the police at that time. In which case it is good to ask for help. Now on the other hand if he had had someway of knowing that she was definitely missing i agree that this probably wasn't the best first move :p

2. Did it ever occur to some of you that although he posted here asking for advice, if he finds that she is injured like that, do you really think the first thing he is going to do is run to a computer and post on the forums. GIve the buy a break, yes a lot of us were truely concerned and running out of patience but if he posted that she was in the hospital chances are things are going to good. Dont jump all over the poor guy.

For those wondering why people on this forum are skeptical about this sort of thing, I have one word: DennilFloss.

I don't know that was so long ago and there are so many on here now that were not on then.

I think this is because there has been so many phonies out there and reported in the Media. Take the Runaway Bride situation for example.

Glad you were able to find her Vonkhan and she will be OK.

DennilFloss occurred to me also. Even though I wasn't on this board then I've seen links to the story and heard all about it.

If your SO disappeared, you worried for days, then found out he/she was in the hospital (for whatever reason), would you HONESTLY put responding to this thread (where people also said nasty things while you were suffering with worry) in your top 100 list of things to do this week? Even if she is in the hospital for a relatively minor reason, his concern and need to focus on her welfare at the moment, vastly outweighs his need to respond to our curiosity, no matter how well intentioned.

If your SO dissapears, would you post on ATOT in the first place?

apparently so...
these people crack me up...

yah like Im gonna take the time to go to AT and say OH NOEZ~ my Dogs uncles girlfriends brother has gone missing someone help me call someone~!
oh nooooez!

if you really think you need to come here as part of your emergency procedures..
you really need to get a real life....

Wow, that may crack you up, but you make me want to rip my hair out. What does it friggin matter to you? If you don't have any good advice to post, then why did you post anything? Looks like you are the one that doesn't have the life...nothing better to do than critisize somebody who needed help.

Quit taking life seriously.
