to the fvcking store and to get her hair cut while i was asleep

i have tried to explain to her before that if someone smacks into her, it's automatically her fault since she has no license and isn't covered by my insurance...not to mention i'm gonna be the one who gets sued since she doesn't have jack sh1t

is a soda and a haircut worth me losing my insurance, getting sued for god knows how much money, and possibly even facing criminal charges for negligence?

so who's ass do i put in a sling? do i say she stole the car, since technically she did, or do i keep my mouth shut and get taken for everything i own, and possibly even go to jail, depending on if she maimed someone or something like that...i'm sure they could find a way to charge me with criminal negligence or something like that....all over a fvcking soda

wtf is wrong with people...this is real life...my real life...quit trying to fvck it up

report it stolen and hope the cops aren't quick on catching it. that way if you get in wreck you're covered.

wow, you need to sit down with her, and camly explain everything. don't let it go with "I know" or anything else. make sure she understands.

If my girlfriend didn't have a license and took my car without my permission, I'd kick her to the curb. I'm not kidding; that's a serious breach of trust in our relationship and I wouldn't feel comfortable in a relationship with her anymore.

we're actually split up right now...the only reason she is still at my house is she has nowhere else to go...long story there...her job doesn't pay enough to make it on her own, her mom is a fvck-up, her dad is nowhere to be found, and she doesn't have any friends reliable enough to room with...i'm all she's got...and she is really trying my patience

So why are you calling her your girlfriend?

You are a huge pushover if you're taking her in after you broke up with her. You're not doing her any favors.

and through her out on the street would be?

as long as she pays her share of the rent, i don't see the big deal.

So ggnl what would you do?

You failed at laying down the law. Try again.

And next time when you sleep, you tell her to sleep with you. ;)

EDIT>> Oh you're split up... yeah hide the keys.

Better to learn how to live by yourself than to crash on your ex-bf's couch for a few months.

Seriously, she's no friend of his if she pulls this type of crap. He needs to kick her out as soon as she gets home. Clearly, letting her stay at his house isn't making her more mature.

should have said ex-gf...habit i guess...we haven't been split up for very long

and i'm not a pushover, i was the one who broke up with her...i just can't bear put her out on the streets...but if she keeps pulling crap like this...i won't have much of a choice

Wait technically this isn't your girlfriend anymore right? So in otherwords, your female ex-girlfriend who is now your roommate stole your car while you were sleeping and drove around doing errands while she had no license (never had one or revoked?)

If you choose to let her stay, hide the keys. Or put a "CLUB" on the steering wheel and hide that key in your shorts or something. Otherwise, tell her you will report it stolen next time she pulls a stunt like that. Once again, this is all only if you choose not to kick her out for doing something like this.

Don't call the cops. But when she gets home, you need to explain that what she did was completely unacceptable and a serious breach of trust. Tell her that if she ever does it again you'll not only call the cops and report the car stolen, but you'll kick her out.

Explain that you would be liable for anything that happened and you choose not to risk that. And ask her if she truly understands that you will call the cops if it happens again, because if she does it she'll have no one to blame for the consequences but herself.
