some girls really HATE porno, they say its like cheating on them *just like some of them say "wise and beautiful woman" is the worst word you can use? hahaha, most guys look at porno?, i think they just need to make some porno websites where if you click both mice buttons at once it changes to a legit looking page, or maybe there is already a program like that =P i know there are keyboard shortcuts and had this one fake casino program that would switch to some school work looking shiet..

i know i have few dvds with porno on them labeled red hat linux or windows xp My girl has phases porno is ok porno is not ok bla bla bla smart thing just dont show them! sex twice a day cures need for porno

Problem is, we can't do a quantum divergent multiverse who-knows-what thing, where we could see multiple parallel realities: One where there was no Internet, or no porn, or something like that, vs this one.
The point of course is, was it directly because of the porn, or because of another underlying psychological or personality issue between them, through which excessive attention to porn merely happened to be its manifestation?
Kind of like cutting off the weed and blaming it for the problem, while its roots are still left in the ground, ignored, and free to keep causing problems.

Whoa, I'm just a simple enlisted man. However, I do know that if I don't play with porn, I won't lose a relationship for that reason. Fair trade to me.

Not really. His sexual expectations could have changed because of what he perceived as the way sex was supposed to be. All the porn starlets take it in the arse, have clean shaven snatches, no stretch marks, big silicone boobies, etc, etc. Eventually he may become desensitized to normal sex.

Then this is a unique case of an individual with issues, and not a problem plaguing society like the author claims. Most of us know that porn is a complete fantasy. That's why we don't walk into the bedroom and treat our women like porn stars. (well maybe some of the lucky one's do 😉)

Clearly it's time for a "War on Porn".

Better yet, a "War on Addiction".

We also need to protect the unfortunate people who are addicted to porn under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

He's been using it since he was ten. His expectations didn't change. She did.

I'd probably hide from her in the basement too.
This. If he had unreasonable expectations about women, he's had them long before he met her.

And I'm not going to claim porn doesn't have societal costs, but what would people suggest? Does anyone really think making it illegal would stop people from producing or purchasing it?

If you make porn illegal, the following things will happen
-lots of biting because Cosmo says it's hot and porn isn't there to show you the right way
-men who are horrible in bed; no explanation needed
-women who just lay there

My girlfriend has a ridiculous addiction to Susan Wayland. I do believe we find it equally stimulating.

Actually, several studies show that pornography consumption is positively correlated with sexual aggression in men. Of course this is not true in all cases and correlation is not causation, but still porn may be responsible for some of the degradation women experience thought their life time.

I think the weird shit that's available now was always available. It's probably just a little more available and socially acceptable to consume it.

I'd say it's not more socially acceptable to consume it, but far easier to consume it without others knowing about it due to the internet.
No discs or tapes show up in your mailbox. You don't have to physically rent it from a video store, or buy it an XXX shop.
Just use your credit card and you can see things that will blow your mind.

What I see in this article is an attempt to lump pron in with drugs, to demonize it.

pron has changed from 20+ years ago as well, i'm sure.

Not as much as you might think. The hairstyles are different and as someone noted there's a lot less bush, but other than that it's still people fucking and doing the same things to each other that they've always done. It's still as poorly filmed as ever, too.

It's not like marijuana where they tell you that the stuff people smoke today is way, way more potent than what was available back in the day. Funny thing is, when I was in elementary school (over 30 years ago), they told us the exact same thing back then. If they were right, the stuff would be so potent that one puff would kill you.

False.
You sir, have not been watching enough porn.

Thing is, porn always pushes the envelope to remain "edgy" and after a while, the edgy stuff becomes accepted practice by those who have never seen what came before. The 90s was when that stupid anal stuff became mainstream in porn. Gross. Even in lesbian erotica. While I can see why homosexual men might engage in it, there is no need for anal intercourse if a vagina is present. The vagina has evolved for intercourse. The anus has evolved to expel turds. Nowadays, young adults and teenagers who frown at the mere mention of bush see nothing wrong with putting their dick in a shithole and/or licking it.

I don't consider japanese dooky porn as porn--it's just sick people that need to be ostracized, and have no public outlet to display their sickness.

Other than that, yeah...porn has always been people fucking. shitty angles, shitty production. whatever.
beyond "people fucking," there are exactly 0 more reasons to watch porn today as there was yesterday, and decades ago. I'm not knocking that, of course, but to think that porn is anything beyond people fucking, then I'd say you might need to get out more... :hmm:
