IMO - far more annoying are those that crowd the gate on exiting the plane. I get that you maybe aren't familiar with the airport - that happens to me too - but move forward and to the side before figuring out where you want to go!

Let the aisles closest to the middle go first. Then the middle seat people. Then the window seat people. Much faster than row by row.

Some airline (SW?) is doing a test of that boarding procedure. Windows seats are group 3 (with preferred being 1 and 2), Middle group 4 and isle group 5

It's worse now because EVERYONE has a carry on and over sized 'personal item'

FTFY. I wish airlines were better about enforcing carry on and personal bag sizes.

Definitely annoying. How about just sitting your ass down for a few minutes, and go row by row when it's your row's turn? Nope, makes too much sense. I can see stretching your legs if you stand in place and not crowd the fucking aisle though.

Most planes don't provide enough headroom above the seats to stand up straight making the isle the only place you can do that. (Or at least the Delta planes I usually have to fly on) If I am in the isle seat you can bet that I am going to try and stand up. Its not that I want to rush out just that most of my flights are 4+ hours long and I want to stretch

I fly a lot. People are stupid. I just sit there and wait.

It's worse now because EVERYONE has a carry on. Boarding and un-boarding takes 30 minutes now and this is the airlines' fault, people don't want to pay the baggage fees so everyone brings their bag on.

I wonder if the airlines lose money because the plane now takes an extra 45+ minutes for people to board and try to cram their 3 pieces of carry on in the overhead storage and the extra time it takes for people to grab all their carry on before getting off the plane.

I doubt it. They just start boarding earlier. You start lining people up 40 minutes before take off and start boarding 20 minutes before take off. By the time everybody is on the plane, they're still loading luggage.

I get up mostly because I want to stretch my legs. It hurts sitting for several hours in what passes for seats these days.

Sorry man, I've been cramped in my tiny seat for so long I'm dying to stand up and stretch. I'm going to stand up ASAP.

I cannot imagine why people would pay to be the first to board. The less time I spend in my seat the better.

On planes it'd be nice if they made announcements about letting people with tight connections off first..... and people were mature enough not to abuse that. Of course that'll never happen.

1. I hate that, but applies to any crowded place really, supermarkets and stuff. I hate when someone suddendly stops and turns around for whatever reason.
2. yeah cannot work, what about families and shit.

I've found that if you tell the FA you have a tight connection often they will make a similar announcement if they agree its a tight connection

Well - I don't know the finer details but, in general, you are allowed to bring children with you with your boarding group.

people are dumb. people demand instant gratification. people are selfish.
