i'm not too worried about the long term effects being unknows... if there weren't pioneers, no new procedures would ever be done. I'm the kinda guy who would give a stranger one of my kindneys if it meant saving his life... i figure the more surguries of this type that are done, the more they learn, and the closer they can get to NO ONE needing corrective lenses of any type.

Just went for the first followup today. Doctor says ok. Now taking Ciloxan, Tobradex and Econopred. Next followup on Wednesday.

They gave me these really cool looking goggles to wear.

Tobradex is all i'm taking, that and artificial tears when they feel dry

and yeah, i got some kick ass goggles to sleep in too, but they are almost too tight... :(

Just wondering how you're doing now, a month after surgery.

I'm thinking about having the surgery done myself. Boy, it must be nice to get rid of contact lenses! I've worn glasses since 1982 and contacts since 1987. It must feel invigorating every morning, waking up and being able to see right away!

Well, I dont know about Joemonkey, but I have a presistant astigamatism in the left eye that I would like corrected at my next office visit.

Its also been a month for me. Once you get used to it, it seems like it should have allways been this way.
