Final price including taxes is 23 000 CAD (don't forget that here in QC taxes are 5% + 9.95%).

For this price here's what I got and the final deal with the guy:
- 1.4l turbo Multiair engine
- Black mags (lol)
- 4 winter tires mounted on 17" wheels (for free)
- The first option group that sell for 295CAD (for free)
- 5 years/100k warranty instead of 3 years/60k (for free)
- The Mopar antirust treatment that supposed to be a one-time shot (half price)

Think I got a great deal overall.

My only critique...rust proofing is a scam in modern cars. They're pretty much all galvanized from the factory :)

Yeah but ALL my other cars, even my Mazda6, rusted and paint chipped on the wings and other places. Maybe it's a gimmick but it's too late lol...and half price isn't that bad.

Yep its a total scam and is a way for car salesman to get back money from you "talking them down".

I had someone on Facebook say they were selling their car they bought new a few years back and they said all the trim and everything. They had like $3000+ worth of that stuff (rust, chip, scratch, and the 50 other "coatings" they supposedly apply when they really just spray on a $50 bottle that makes the car look polished until it wears off). Of course this is the same person that spent $250 on some really small ab exerciser from some infomercial so they're not the sharpest.

Even better when they say they thought you wanted it done (or accidentally their shop did it in the final clean/detail prep) so its already been done, but yeah they'll give you half off since you know they can't just take it off.

Not only a scam, but if it's a waxy underbody coating, like most aftermarket treatments are, I've been told they can actually do more harm than good.

If there was any trace of moisture, dirt, etc., when applied, that becomes trapped and will start corrosion.

Haven't seen the need for any coatings like that in the last 10 years or so, esp. since the automakers are almost universally offering 7 year/100K mile rust through warranties on their vehicles now.....well, maybe I'd consider it on a Toyota. Have seen enough rusted out body panels and bumpers on Toyota trucks up here to shy me away from anything with that T on the grille.

Yeah I got scammed with the coat it seems but it's a damn fun car anyways. Love the feel of it, handling, stiffness, accel is a bit meh but the car feels good.

It's not the FWD, I got the Rallye edition and yeah stick, 6 speeds.

It's my first brand new car so I have stuff to learn...like the scammy rust proofing coat which I didn't knew existed and when they offered it I thought it was a good idea. Next time i'll be more prepared but our winters here can be damn harsh and they throw salt, calcium, sand and other stuff all over the place when it get icy so this rust protection seemed like a good idea.

The Dart is FWD. It's got electric steering as well, so you don't feel a lot of torque steer.

Technically I guess you're right, they 'borrow' them.

IE purchase it at 15% interest, make 2 payments, get insurance, then stop paying anything.

You realize that dealerships run your credit right?, yes, if there is a way to get you financed they will try to find it but banks are a little tighter these days..
