Mind you we have a 3 year old daughter, I've never cheated on her, been unfaithful in any way. She blames me smoking weed and "not having a job" the reasons right. Yet, I'm doing caretaking at an apartment complex which is a 24/7/365 deal while taking care of my daughter at the same time.

So I was dinking around on my computer and came to find cookies from hotmail stored on my computer.....hmmm. So I decided to crack the account and turns out her intent is to get a divorce and blow off her family and everyone thats known and supported her for the past 7 or so years we've been together so she can be with a guy from her work. Who, might I add has a girlfriend, so she blew off her entire life for the most part to be a mistress.......

I read the emails and it literally sounds like something you'd pass to your 16 year old crush, not something an adult would write.

So tomorrow I go to a lawyers office to file for divorce from her. Yay..../end sarcasm

So all of you out there be thankful if you have somebody who treats you well and respects you and or your family.

::CLIFFS::
1. Wife wants a divorce
2. Lied to everyone she knows about her true intentions
3. Blew off her family completely for a...fling.
4. I hate women

I don't want pity or anything like that, just some of you please sit back and be thankful and greatful that you have a significant other that I'd hope wouldn't do this to any of you.

that sucks, but you couldn't see any writing on the wall?

Um you did print emails and give to your lawyer right?
that will be poison to her in a hearing...

That would be illegal wiretapping, unadmissable, and may get him in more hot water that would make a divorce seem like a child's play. Besides, if his state is "no fault" state, it would make zero difference.

they would have to proove that he hacked the account.. all he would have to say is she left the account logged in and he saw them ;p

I'm sure there was a very similar thread sometime before :/

Yep and it was me. I had a similiar situation but it was pretty different this one. I posted that thread shortly after my wife moved out last May. And now, almost a year later, I'm filing for divorce next month. The first few months were one step away from me going off the deep end but back in December, I met someone who has shown me what it's like to have a real relationship. When I look back on my time with my ex, I can't believe that we lasted as long as we did. It was a great learning experience though. And if someone wants to dig up that old thread, those that felt she was seeing someone else were correct. It was a temporary thing for her but she was in fact fooling around. I was in complete denial at the time however. Guess you just never want to believe something like that can happen to you.

Anyway, my apologies to the OP for getting off on a personal tangent there but I did want to comfirm Lonyo's speculation. Good luck and hang in there. Take from someone who has gone through it: It DOES get better. Won't happen overnight. Took me a few months (and some good meds) but it will make you a stronger person in the end. So hang in there and do what's in the best interest of your daugther. She's the one that could end up with some residual effects from this that could be tough for her to overcome. Just let her know that she is not to blame in any way because sometimes, kids get that impression.

Yup, her side of the story is that she was sick of being married to this unemployed pothead and there was this really cute guy at work...

Oh yea - if you want to have any hope at a decent custody deal and have any sense at all, stop the weed now. She can and likely will request a drug test to establish fitness for custody.

Or maybe just ignore this as the kid may be better off.

LOL so your wife wants to divorce you because you're an unemployed pothead? Still, cheating is one of the worst sins, I hope you kick her ass in court.

Whoever wins, the loser is going to be their kid.

Sigh...so sad and so true.

Actually, if she's been the one who has been employed, then the OP may be hoping that it is.

sorry for your divorce. good luck.

^^^ I'd like to know this as well. I don't have a moral objection to marijuana usage, but getting high around your 3 year old I do have a problem with. Anyways I hope that's not the case. Best of luck to you.

I guess you and your wife need to try to remain calm and a bit mature so this whole thing doesn't fvck up your daughter too much

I sympathize with the OP. Divorce sucks.

But seriously... How many women are going to put up with a jobless pothead? My woman would drop me like a bad habit... and vice versa.

Too bad he's probably out looking to buy more weed while leaving the kid alone at home.
