You complain about zombies, but not about Jersey Shore and the whole guido thing in general?
Jersey Shore is the dribble of piss that you accidentally shook onto your pants compared to the clogged toilet that is zombie. Sure Jersey Shore never should have happened, but its only bad if you keep remembering that its even there, and its easy to forget about as long as you keep from jamming your nose into your own crotch.
The zombie genre in movies peaked with the first film ever made about it, and I actually like zombie movies, but they really just are not that good. They let brainless horror cliches overrun what really was a poignant reflection of society. It became what it was exposing.
At this point, the only thing left is to make a mockumentary in the style of a zombie film, where its not a mockumentary at all but a serious condemnation of the affront to what the films stood for. So complete is it that not even the ironic turns of Che Guevara and Kurt Cobain (incidentally both would make excellent zombies) can compare: Romero is actually one of the prime reasons why zombie movies are so bad now.
Ultimately it is poetic justice and makes sense as it was an inevitability that this would happen, though somewhat amusing that the brainlessness is what it needed in order to sustain itself and spread.
Or everybody wang chung tonight.
