Nobody gives a rat's ass what Maddox thinks about the world except people who are too dumb to have their own opinions and people who just want something to get pissed off at.

I work at a place where we use nothing but Dell for desktops and laptops. In the last year we have had to have every hard drive and motherboard replaced in 1600 Optiplex desktops because they were failing at a very high rate. We have a high number of D600 and D800 laptops that have had motherboard or video replaced more than once. Don't even get me started on their switches. Oh we also had to have 50+ Poweredge 1650 servers have their motherboards replaced because they kept catching on fire.
Dell's QC is total crap. Spend the money and get the Asus. My personal laptop is a Fujitsu P2010, you couldn't pay me to buy a Dell.

You should do what my friend did, get performance over reliability and pay $2000 for a laptop that died after 3 months. It was a VPR Matrix (Best Buy brand)
