Err, they have 65nm in the works.
FAB36 will be 90/65nm production, FAB30 will stay at 130/90nm I believe and not be re-tooled.
Basically they're expecting FAB36 to be running beginning of 2006, which would be too early to release 65nm M2 processors also in early 2006.

This is horrible news on the OC front.
First off DDR2 is slow as hell compared to high end DDR mem like TCCD @ 300Mhz or UTT @ 260Mhz 2-2-2. Trust me. My X2 @ 2.67 with DDR will blow the doors off that one in ANY test. You basically need 1.5x more (external) speed in DDR2 to equal DDR. 667 does not qualify since it's only 333Mhz. What you really need is DDR2 900 to equal some TCCD @ DDR600. Is that even possible?
Second is basic OCing of the chip which will be horrendous on the low end chips. No more taking a low end chip and clocking sky high because you are limited from the get go with already high bandwidth.
Take for example that 2.3 Ghz A64 with a 7x multi listed there.
What do you need to clock to 2.9?
414Mhz bus, i.e. Is that even possible with chipsets and memory? Doubt it.
Nevermind it if you buy lower end chips like the 2Ghz with 6x.
There you'd need 483Mhz chipsets and mem aka, DDR2 1000... Thats PC2-8000!!!!:Q
Low multis are horrible news. I'm not waiting for this garbage!!!
But good at stock speeds.. will show better in the benchmarks with LL DDR2-667 @ 3-3-3

But those boards, will haave a 333 stock rather than 200 stock...Most current boads can't even do 333....SO obviosly there will be a new chipset. Nforce5 maybe? Still a year to go.
