To be honest, it sounded like "don't play with your firearm" to me but he did speak it quickly and sloppily.

There was a lot of misleading chatter about the event by people though, they implied he tried to do a celeb type "do you know who I am?" thing when the reality of it was very far from that. Officer asked his destination and when he was dodgy about it, he pointed put his name on the license to explain why.

Maybe I missed it by not clicking the link, but nowhere in the OP's quote does it say it wasnt concealed. GZ told the cop he was armed and the cop told him to put it in the glove box, I assume this was for the duration of the traffic stop. No law was broken.

It depends on the cop that pulls you over. When I've been pulled over while carrying one told me to keep it on my hip, but another took possession of it for the duration of the stop.

Man with No Criminal Record Has Minor Contact with Police Over Speeding and Says He Has Gun In Glove Compartment, Resulting in No Incident, No Arrest, and Nothing to Report

exactly. Texas is Must inform state, meaning if you have a gun you have to tell the cop. GZ followed the law, got a speeding waring and moved on. end of story.

i have no idea why slicksnake got on a silly rant about open carry.

He didnt escape justice this time:

Zimmerman was pulled over Tuesday morning in Lake Mary, Fla. and issued a $256 ticket for going 60 mph in a 45-mph zone. In July, he was pulled over in Dallas for speeding but only issued a warning and let go. This time, he'll get 3 points on his license unless he successfully contests the ticket or takes an online driver improvement course.

Guy appears to be a speed freak. Not sure how the whole Trayvon thing was gonna change that. Same old same old.

Is that the game where people keep reporting on him and he's killed by a someone looking to get the $10k reward from the NBPP?

LOL more like you have little neighborhood watch mini games carefully following thugs from a safe distance and if they attack you then pow pow in the heart.

Then you have to get through the racially-fueled lynch mob trial by fighting battles with sharpton and obama who plays as the thug's semi adopted dad.

After that you play zimmerman in a made for tv lifetime movie, just to follow it up with having to figure out how to cash a multi million dollar check from NBC.

The plot is still in production though, so feel free to add your own suggestions :sneaky:

OP, Texas is an open carry state, and your car is also covered under the castle doctrine for open carrying of a loaded firearm, too. A permit is still required for a concealed carry, though.

I welcome another brother in arms with open arms. And I don't blame him a bit for leaving Fuklorida. In 30-50 years, most of it is going to be under water along with all it's overpriced real estate.
People were saying that Florida will be under water in 30-50 years 50 years ago.

So the death threats against GZ are lies? No one is looking to kill him or his family?

Actually he did, he could have been cited for no proof of insurance and having no registration.

Hey you all were the ones who decided he was in fact a "whitey".

While holding whitey privilege card means you can be victim of a racist lynch mob, it does also allow you to skirt getting in trouble for minor traffic citations.

Check the fine print.

Because he isn't just a Hispanic, he is the one and only White Hispanic.

I wonder if one traced his genealogy if he has some Jewish ancestry. There are a lot of Jews with the last name Zimmerman.

Then He would be a White-Hispanic-Jew.

Fun with hyphens.

Actually given that he was given a warning by the police I think we can safely determine he is "white".

If he was brown the cop would have planted drugs on him :sneaky:

I think you meant black

jeez atleast get it right.

they should cite the officer for being a moron for riding with gloves, yikes
