That didn't work out too well for Amash. He went from Freedom Caucus to RINO in a New York minute. The people that "need to hear this" will dismiss him in 2 seconds as part of the deep state.Yeah, you see, the problem I have with this is that every time any conservative speaks up against Trump we get page after page of what a shitty person the conservative is, which often includes false claims about too late disapproval of Trump even if the person opposed Trump from the minute he stepped up. There are often calls to "apologize" for positions they took decades ago. There is little to no commentary about what the person wrote. And there is zero recognition of the political benefit of having conservatives speak out against Trump. It seems that people would rather hear liberals do it. Which is really dumb. If George Will was never the conservative that you so dislike him for being, his word on Trump now would have no value at all.
Newsflash. Every single last conservative has supported things like tax cuts for the rich and other typical Reagonite policies. If that is going to disqualify them from being a valid or useful voice against Trump, then they're all disqualified. Psst: you don't actually have to agree with someone's policy positions, or even like them, to agree with the content of an editorial they wrote.
