This is why our justice system's future is in doubt. Many people so willingly throw out presumption of innocence and the rights of the accused in the name of being "tough on crime". It really is a tragedy what is happening to Manning. He needs to be treated like a proper human being and given his fair day in court.

I agree with your post, unless you're saying there isn't strong evidence for forming an opinion - including a reported confession - that he's guilty of leaking to someone.
An opinion outside the legal system, where I want him to be treated 'like a porper human being' - I object to his reported treatment - and given a fair day in court.
And I lean towards a far lighter sentence than most seem to here. Not 'tough on crime'.
You seem to have rushed and grabbed my post without bothering to see what it said to make your point. I'm against the same 'tough on crime' excesses.
