the greatest generation is one of the most hypocritical bullshit ever invented. a bunch of ignorant racist white guys who did a limited job as part of a grand strategy. guess what? millions of men have down the same thing for thousands of years before and have done so since.

on the there are no bald eagles in vietnam only roosters thing. vietnam was a special place. very special. must have been very terrible. but the fact remains that a lot of white racist middle class boys who had a priviliged upbringing went to vietnam and learned what existed outside their established lifestyle
