Yeah, but the 'little three' aren't really feeder schools for wall st. Unless a liberal arts college has a strong connection to wall st firms, like dartmouth, it's not a great place to go for finance. Liberal arts colleges are where you go if you want to go to grad or law school.

No, that was my point too. They don't go searching for out-of-state liberal arts students. Most of the internships are for students within NYC who go to school in the area. It's more convenient for both the corporations as well as the schools and students. They also make a point of picking kids with very varied backgrounds, much like medical schools do with respect to admissions. Wall street has actually been ahead of the curve as far as removing that "White guys first" stereotype that's been plaguing the upper echelons of our nation. You'll hear on Wall street that the only skin color is green. If you've got problems with minorities and women then you'll either have to deal with it or find a new line of work.

Secondhand experience. My family friend works for a rather big bank from the comfort of her own home and shows up when she wants...

My turn to brag:

She gets yearly bonuses worth 3-4x the price of your home. Note that I said she. Many of her coworkers and some bosses are black, women and all sorts of weird mixes.

That probably isn't true, but if it is- she is making bonuses worth double digits millions.

Next.

Not quite that high, but pretty close.

Most of her work is done on her computer and via phone calls. She asked them to work from home because she's raising 2 kids and they obliged. She shows up to her own office maybe twice a week?

Note how my story seems more believable because I'm not a dick about it and didn't bring it up other than to refute a bullshit claim.

But maybe she's one of your golfing buddies?

Referring to the home my parents own. Want to hear about our vacation house?

You =/= your parents. We are talking about your home here, daddy's little boy.

It is funny to see you brag about your parents success. How gross.

What bullshit claim did this refute?

Okay. I do not own a home. So, you win?

And should I not be proud of my father's success? Is that BAD?

You should be proud of your father, but you shouldn't brag about it since it shows nothing about you. Your fathers success isn't your success.

No self-respecting man takes hand-outs from daddy. Be your own man. Until then you are just a kid with a big allowance.

While your father may be financially successful, he obviously failed as a parent.

No one here has any respect for you now for multiple reasons, and I'm not surprised if people who know you in real life feel the same way (of course you will deny this in the same oblivious manner you have carried through this thread).

Although maybe you don't act like this in person. Internet anonymity brings out the asshole in people.

I don't have a comment on the story the OP posted about originally, but you guys are seriously arguing with this tool? He's a fucking TROLL. HURR DURR. It's a little funny I guess but goddamn, it's incredibly obvious. I'm surprised he is still allowed to post here, actually.

Slow day at work and it's sometimes fun to go after trolls.
