<< When the graphics card stretches the image to fit the displays native resolution it blurs it. It looks like antialising in games but looks like crap in word processing and stuff. >>

Hmm... I thought this kinda blurring makes 3D games virtually unplayable?

It becomes pretty bad at 640x480, but at 800x600 it looks pretty good. That is if you are trying to read small text...lol

As far as I remember, Toshiba Satellite uses 16Mb version of GeForce2Go, while Dell uses 32Mb-hence the performance difference. (but I could be wrong)

Still, even 16Mb version is much faster than everything else out there.

Its the kinda AA you get on a TV, blurry, not smooth. No jaggies, but no clarity.

Surpringly, I can play all those same games on my laptop. A celeron 650 with a Savage MX. Roughly equivalent to the Savage 3D of yesteryear, but with much more stable drivers.

I dont get smoothing when I run at a non-native res, I get damn pixel doubling. But at 512x384, everything isnt jaggy, and games run pretty damn smooth. I can kick just as much ass in UT with this than with my desktop. And considering the laptop was only $750, its pretty sweet.

My model is the s201, using the same casing as the 402, with the subwoofer. Best damn laptop speakers anywhere, but thats not saying much. Sounds about as good as crappy labtec speakers.

Leon - If you do some research you will find out that the Dell uses DDR, the Toshiba doesn't.
