I just got my new Toshiba laptop with the GeForce2 Go in it so I decided to load up 3Dmark 2001 to see what it could do. With 128mb of ram and a P3 850 it got 1189 3DMarks on the default test. Not bad considering my P3 866 with a GeForce DDR w/32mb of memory and 512mb of ram gets 2400 or so. I am pleased. :) Also the "subwoofer" (lol) actually is noticable and makes listening to the sound much more enjoyable.

Can you run the benchmark again w/ vsync off on both OpenGL and D3D?
1189 seems to be kinda low........( I recall my friend use Old ATI Xpert128 w/ 16MB on regular desktop score around 1100)

I was hoping Geforce2Go can go bit faster...

Timekeeper - Are you sure he was running 2001, those results seem more like results from 2000

My apology..forgot to mention that he use TFT screen so it benchmark his ATI Xpert128 under 16-bit color. (15" TFT only support 16bit colors)

Just like mine current TFT, if I run the 3DMark2001, it must be under 16bit. And I got 4000 point!!!!!

I have screen shot, someone want to post it for me? (sorry, this tread should under the discussion of Geforce2go. :) )

That's very low indeed. I remember reading somewhere that the GF2Go and go up to 2000+++ on 3DMark2001. What settings did you run the benchmark on?

Update: It gets 4203 on 3DMark 2000

Ugh - Uhhh, default...lol

I think the score is ok. I don't see why you expect it to do as well as a Geforce DDR, that is crazy. The GF2MX is about the same speed as a Geforce DDR so I don't understand why you think a SDR 64bit memory bandwith GF2MX aka Geforce2 Go can equal the Geforce DDR, anywhoooo, it is faster than any laptop I have ever setup or used.

Heh... Default being? :D

Well, I guess as long as games play ok then the benchmarks are pretty much just a guideline {g}

Actually that's barely a jump at all. 4200 in 3dmark 2000 is about the equivalent to 1200 in 3dmark 2001. I would have at least expected 1800-2000 for such a setup

Umm... Ok. I'll take yer word for it :)

Burn: Default being 1024x768 32bit color noAA

Would it be possible for you to try 800x600 16bit?

Hey, now that's pretty ok to me :D I think it's even faster than my GF2MX, but I'm only running P3 550 :)

All those games on the notebook? I'm impressed! How do they perform anyway?

That is really low. I have a Dell Inspiron 8000 with a P3 900, 256MB RAM, and a G2GO 32MB and I got 1687 with the CPU running at 700 (SpeedStep). I have not tried it yet at 900 or with 3DMark2000.

MWINK - Your scores seem right, you have a DDR card with 32mb of memory. The toshiba is SDR with 16mb of memory.

mwinks are good, but guys.. isn't 2k1 more CPU dependent???

plus he only has 128 ram..

i dunno, but those seem ok for a lappy, what resolution are you runnning your games at Burn?

how many FPS are you getting in Quake..

I run most games at 800x600. The funny thing is that since the laptop's display is native at 1024x768 so when I run full screen at 800x600 I get free antialising (sp?). Quake 3 I am getting 70fps at 800x600 with medium settings.

When the graphics card stretches the image to fit the displays native resolution it blurs it. It looks like antialising in games but looks like crap in word processing and stuff.

70FPS.. that's good!

i get 65 1024 all settings MAX..

but 70 for a laptop seems VERY playable! :)!
