Geforce 304.48 Beta drivers up

Thank god. I've been waiting for these. I really hope they make Diablo 3 playable on my 670 instead of a stuttering mess.
Driver issues on a Nvidia card? Blasphemy!

Now AMD is going to have their hands full when they release the 7970 GHz edition. They're so far behind on drivers that they won't be able to squeeze enough performance out of their card to take the victory.

I guess all those ATI users with the same stutter problem in Diablo III should install this driver immidiately.

As I understand it, the Diablo 3 game engine has stutter issues of its own, which Blizzard claims to be working to fix.

In addition, the 600-series has had stutter issues with vsync in ALL games since release.

So in D3, it was a double-whammy for nvidia users. Hopefully now at least one of those stutter problems has been addressed.

EDIT: I had a 6970 when D3 first came out and it had stutter issues too. So I'm pretty sure the game itself has problems.

Diablo 3 doesn't have stutter issues on its own, the drivers were just broken. See here: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=226227 The game was fine on 79xx and smooth with vsync enabled, but stuttered on the 680 with ingame vsync on - this is from having used both in D3. I'll see if these drivers fix it, hopefully it is. Interesting instead of holding nvidia accountable for their driver error, users immediately bash AMD as if that somehow pertains to nvidias driver bug...lol...whatever...

Edit: Holy CRAP these drivers improve Batman : AC performance with physX a TON. I can run physx high now with very little performance penalty, before with 301.42 there was a performance penalty for physx HIGH. Loving these drivers so far, will try diablo 3 later after work. With these drivers many scenes are now 25-30 fps higher with high phsyx enabled in Batman: AC......wow.....there's no reason to NOT have physx turned on in this game now.

Haven't tried 3dmark yet either...you better be ready wednesday Don 😀 the "beast" is nearly finished!

I'm just hoping its not cpu/server related like WoW or Star Craft, otherwise I'm going to apply for a job with BofA since I lack any and all professionalism.

Is there a reason the Nvidia control panel tool cannot see this update? I'm running 301.42 since the 6th of the month.

Edit: It's a Beta that's why!

the framerate option has disappeared from precision with these drivers so I cant even check the framerate now without using fraps.

I'm leaning towards that being the issue. These drivers didn't fix Diablo 3 stuttering for me one bit, but this card rocks in BF3. /shrug

Yeah, I'm still getting it too, although it doesn't seem quite as bad. You never know with D3 though--it seems to play fine for a few minutes, then it turns into a stutterfest for no apparent reason.

Still here (PrecisionX 3.0.2). I can see it on your screenshot - just click on the checkmark in front of the entry, doesn't that work?

no, the checkmark is grayed out and you can not select it.

EDIT: I restarted the computer and it now works so go figure.
