Looks like us AGP guys can extend the life of our systems for another 10 months or so.
My quad core el cheapo pci-e system is looking good for the Thanksgiving holiday. Perfect time to upgrade. I'm glad I skipped duel core cpu's and pci-e last year. My system still plays any game made in the past year just fine at 1280x1024. Now if they would only make a game I wanna buy this year, then I'll switch over to quad core, new ram, motherboard, psu and a high end video card for less then a $1000.00 dollars.

Just curious what your planned el cheapo quad core system is going to consist of, and what you expect to build for under $1000... The reason I ask is because it's already damn near impossible to build a decent CD2 E4300 and a 8800GTS 320MB rig for less than $900. The least expensive quad core LGA 775 chip (Q6600) out now is still over $800 alone, how much do you really think they will drop by Nov...?
