The only reason it has adverse affects are because of people like yourself.
Ever heard of AIDS? I'm not responsible for that but I have witnessed it take a man down more than once and it wasn't pretty.
You can't say "you're wrong for existing or feeling like you do" and then claim you're not judging or condemning them.
Disagreeing with someone on something and condemning them for it are entirely two different things. I don't like smart cars but I don't go into a rage each time I meet an owner of one and condemn them for driving what I might consider to be the dumbest car on the road.

Wow. Just...wow. You know, that same anthology of Iron-age pornography says you can get two white goats to have spotted kids by making them stare at a stripey stick while you breed them. I have to wonder what your criteria are for what you do and don't accept on its face...

As to lifestyle...no, buddy. Smokers choose to smoke. (Most) fat people got that way because they choose to overeat and/or not practice good nutrition. I did not choose to be a lesbian. It'd be easier overall if I weren't one, but it wasn't a choice.

If you don't believe me, here's a thought experiment: try to make yourself gay. Right here, right now. Try and will yourself to like men and only men, and have no native attraction to women any longer. I don't mean suppress your feelings for them; I mean by pure force of willpower eradicate them entirely, such that not even your autonomic nervous system reacts to a pretty woman anymore, but does attract you to other men.
I'm wondering if you've had any better luck with that thought experiment than I have, normally the people I'm posing it to never respond.

Absolutely never. I would like to think it's because it gave them something to think about, but the sad truth is, it's probably just them thinking they won by retreating.

AIDS, really? HIV also affects hetero women more than hetero men, and blacks more than any other race. It's not just a gay disease, this has been well established for a good twenty years now.

Disagreeing and condemning CAN be different things, they can also be the same thing. It's a fine line.

That is the exact same argument I have been using for years as well. I also rarely get much of a response when I ask the question.

You're either incredibly ignorant or straight up trolling now. AIDS is absolutely not just a homosexual disease and affects heterosexual people more (just by numbers, due to people like you condemning condom use and proper sex education in AIDS ravaged regions). And the only reason AIDS had the stigma it did was because of the Reagan admnistration's ignorance (and condemnation of it as a gay disease), that sadly seems to echo yours.

They are, but saying you "disagree" with gay people doesn't magically change what condemnation means. Seriously again, you seem to not understand what words and phrases mean. Saying you "disagree" and that it is wrong is literally condemning it. Likewise, you are literally condemning smart cars by being that way. Just because you don't think you are doesn't magically mean you aren't.

I see people with similar beliefs to yours acting that way all the time. I don't know if you just literally don't understand these words or if you're just trying the typical logical gymnastics to absolve yourself of guilt for it or what, but you really need to understand why what you say just fails basic logic.

I blame shitty journalism. Most people think condemnation is a political word, since the only time they see it is in clickbait headlines where some politician or activist on a high horse is talking about how their enemies are destroying America while blowing goats. Most people don't think of themselves as particularly political, so of course they don't think of themselves as condemnatory, it's just their opinion.

The same goes for a lot of other words that used to just be descriptive, but now aren't.

Its probably cyclical. Suppressing it makes it grow. Accepting it makes it decline. So there is always a basal level,

Promiscuous people of all orientations get infections like HPV and gonorrhea. The fact that HIV and AIDS were first noticed in the gay community in San Francisco in the early 80s doesn't necessarily mean that there's something special against gay people.

I can only speak of my own personal experiences with persons who had it and they were all gay. I've seen all kinds of people with a common cold. It's kind of like speculating that a dog owner would have a higher degree of probability of stepping in dog poop in their yard than someone who doesn't have a pet.

Sure, if gay people spontaneously shit HIV.

Gay and Lesbian dinosaurs are why they died out. Mammals fortunately were god fearing creatures and didn't fall into the pits of homosexuality until much later.

As others have said it will probably not die out, but it will be very rare as people are able to selectively choose genetics in their kids.

I predict that this thing will continue to explode and you will see even more open acceptance of it. Rainbow license plates anyone? Will skittles become the official candy of LBGT? Will the next batman and robin movie be altered to reflect this new reality? Stay tuned for this and much more on as the gay world turns.

Dude, you are so out of date I'm starting to think it's intentional.

If by "continue to explode" you mean "an increased number of people that are openly gay", that's a logical extension of continued "open" acceptance (since "closed" acceptance doesn't do a whole lot).

What's the official candy of straight people?

What you guys are all beating around the bush on is that anal sex has a stupid high STD transmission rate. Alot of gay conventions are all about having a ton of gay sex. The gay community particularly among men is very much so polygamous so yes scientifically the transmission rate is highest among gay men.

I'm not against the gay community its just the facts as they are. Its a risky behavior, like base jumping. I'm sure its thrilling if you swing that way, its just also risky.

The other side of the token is there are plenty of monogamous gay relationships that don't even engage in that type of stuff. So I definitely am looking at the individual person and not the group as a whole.

You are right about anal, but you're not right about gay promiscuity though.

I don't doubt that anal being the easiest route for STIs is a real factor in gay men's HIV rates, but that's not the kind of nuanced argument than was being thrown around before.

I don't think you meant "polygamous" ;)
