The only thing that "pro gun people" can universally agree on is that you are crazy and do not speak for them.
You may be the minority. And I did use the word "usually" which means there is a minority and a majority present, or various camps.

There are somewhere between 75 and 100 million gun owners in the US. Do you really think anything other than a minuscule minority pay any attention to Alex Jones (or even know who he is)?

I feel like some people are just so scared of guns it makes them irrational when it comes to the kind of policies they support.

i took my roommate to the range - he had never shot a gun before. the closest thing (in his words) was CoD.

so after the range, i asked him what he thought.

1) he really enjoyed it
2) he thought everyone should go to the range at least once to get an understanding/appreciation of firearms.

people fear what they don't understand. consider that 50 years ago, it wasn't uncommon for high schools to have shooting teams, and rifles were regularly brought to school. now, rifle teams are few and far between, i imagine. and guns have become this absolutely evil thing (despite it being your right to own one)

I strongly support the right of gay married couples to protect their marijuana with guns.

I never could put 'gay' and 'pride' in my head together. Although I have felt good about the occasional accomplishment, I try not to be a prideful person and at a gay pride parade I find a lot of celebration, lots of children and lots of explicit people and outfits that I would never point my camera at. Considering the four to eight year old kids all around us and in the parade, it didn't compute. With this crowd is pride synonymous with immodesty and/or a lack of humility? There was also lots of public drunkenness.
I really applaud you for saying this. Public displays of nudity, lewd behavior and the types of things seen in a parade of this type are detrimental. It's tough to take people seriously that wear thongs in a parade and mimic sex acts for what I can only assume is shock value. When those individuals next try to convince people that their rights are not equal to those of heterosexuals, many people think, you know, you're behaving way outside the norms of society and I'm now supposed to take you seriously?

My parents, as conservative as conservative could get, had a slew of gay friends. And they were over to our house countless times socializing. But these guys didn't come over wearing feather boa's, pawing at each other and playing grab ass. They kept their sexuality low key as did the heterosexuals in the mix.

People do not have to conform to societal norms. That choice is for each individual to make. But should you choose to behave outside of the norms, don't scream how you're being singled out. You brought it upon yourself.

Anyway, I've done less than a good job saying what I wanted to say but it will have to do. Thumbs up bradly1101!

But daily public displays on nationwide TV of adultery and nudity on Jerry Springer of saggy naked boobies and fat asses for cheap Jerry Beads is perfectly OK with you, AM I RIGHT? Of course I am, you dirty, pervy hypocrites.

If you don't like gay parades, then how about just staying away from them? Then gay problem not found and prude problem solved.

Ah, so your issue is that I did not specify all actions that I considered to be beyond the mainstream. Oh, and no, you're not right. BTW, hypocrite is singular, hypocrites is plural. There's only one of me. You don't sound very educated. Sorry you got shortchanged.

I have yet to attend one.

You mad bro?

As I said, I liked most of the parade. I admit to being a prude when it comes to adult, overt sexuality around children. I guess mostly I was ashamed that this and the public drunkenness are representative of a community I identify with who apparently don't care about children so much. I can't identify with those aspects, and as a human I'm ashamed of and can't identify with Jerry Springer either.

You are most definitely included in the drooling masses of conservatards (since you yourself admitted as much) so therefore I lumped you in with the other hypocrite(s) you claimed to be related to deliberately. So try to imagine that use of the word if your tiny atrophied brain actually can.

But please, by all means, don't hesitate to inform me about more words you happen to know and stuff and how you think they need to be used according to you and your savior, Rush Limbaugh.

BTW, the only one obviously shortchanged in education here seems to be you, but conservatard inbreeding usually leads to that condition, BRO.

And for the record, I'm not your BRO, you SCHMO.

And only a true schmo would even criticize a gay parade he has never personally attended, and take the opportunity to criticize an entire group of gay people over it.

I won't make any excuses for what other parents may want to take their kids to. That's their choice to make, not mine. And I also realize that kids are often not the innocent little wallflowers the religious right and conservatards like Rush Limbaugh make them all out to be, either.

The varied influences of the media like TV, movies, music, video games and the internet has far more impact on what kids learn at an early age than attending one gay parade for an hour or 2 can possibly be blamed for as far as influencing their developmental behavior. If anything, the public drunkenness is the worst possible influence, but how many kids with straight parents see this negative influence on a daily basis when mom and dad get drunk and fight?

If you're bringing kids to a pride parade you're a bad parent.
