Gates donated the new computer systems for the main branch of my public library. I live in Guelph, Ontario, a city of 100k.

Why do you hate him so much? He gives lots of money, REAL money, to tons of charities. He sponsors a BUNCH of children in Africa, for one thing, and they don't accept Windows licences as legal tender over there :roll:

stock options can be sold for cash or you can exercise the options, get stock cheap, sell it at market price and make cash... what's the difference??

and for your kind info - all his money is not in options. Gates owns over a BILLION shares of Microsoft...

A coworker of mine was working in Intel lab. So, one day there was supposed to be some kind of presentation on a processor (probably Pentium II or smth). My coworker is hacking away at smth in the lab whic was very close to the conference room where all the big guys were supposed to meet. He hears the door open, and then a man asks him: would you have a spare power strip by chance? I need to hook up a projector, and there isn't a free socket available.

The coworker, without turning away from the monitor, says: there's one under the table. You can take it. He thought it was one of the lab guys. So, this man crawls under the table and gets himself a power strip. The coworker glances at him, as he gets out from under the table - and it's Bill Gates himself! He says: thanks, I'll return it later - and leaves for the meeting.

Gotta love it.
 
i think he's the coolest.... a nerd that knows how to do business with the fat cats of the corporate world and make them eat crow.. even better he is richer than anyone ever, and behaves like a normal dude... i have had it up to there with punks who make 50k, go buy themselves a BMW and think they are the cat's whiskers... i can't stand those morons
