I prefer my gas pedal...

  • Hanging

  • Floor Mounted

  • Either way is fine with me

  • In my right hand

I didn't realize ANY cars had floor mounted pedals. Is that a new thing??

my 79 chevy stepside had a floor mounted gas pedal. one time a rock got wedged in there and i couldnt accelerate at all hehe. another time i had the lever get locked up at almost WoT and had to shut it down in a turn lane, during a turn. that wasnt very fun at all. the newer ones are much safer i imagine, hehe. i dont mind either way, as long as it isnt in an awkward position (looking at you, ford).

Newest generation acura TLs are floor mounted(which I prefer). I would guess that the newest generation accord is as well. I could be wrong.

I prefer floor mounted, I think, but I don't care about this nearly as much as I care about the weird floor-pivot clutch on older 911s. Do they still use this? I test-drove a 1986 911 once and found it very difficult to get used to.

I like the floor mounted one except on the BMW it makes a loud click and you can feel it when you go WOT. It's strange and I can't get used to it.
