I liked the movie overall. Most people will see it to see Natalie Portman, but shes ok IMO, however her acting was good. I think most of the younger crowd here(mid 20's) could relate more to the movie. When I finished watching it, I really liked it. After reading some IMDB posts, you realize that its one of those carefree 20 something movies and then you fall back to Earth. Oh well.

 for the movie.

Yeah, everyone I know (including myself) loves that movie, maybe its just living in jersey that does it.

i've seen it and just couldn't figure out why everyone loved it. i thought it was a good movie and worth watching but wasn't amazing to me or moving. it was a movie about growing up and realizing things in life.

It was meh. I really don't understand whatever underlying theme/message it was trying to convey. Maybe it's cuz I'm from LA.

I saw it for the second time last night and liked it even more. It was meaningful despite the non-meaningful parts (the party, etc.). It's hard to explain why I liked it, I think part of it has to do with the music.

AWESOME soundtrack. Overall I was indifferent to it, but I guess I could just relate to Zach Braff. Not the most amazing movie, but I liked it in general. Everyone I spoke to said that the movie was sad/depressing, however:

they get together in the end. Isn't that supposed to be cheerful?

The party is pretty meaningful, IMO. Its a lot like what happens whenever I come home from being away for awhile.

BTW, I met the chick who makes out with him at the party. NICE.

I think the ending was just a little too nice and tidy. other than that I liked it alot...I'll buy it when i see it for a good price.

it feels very realistic. Like I said in the OP- it just feels very real and believeable. That guy on IMDB said it best. I'm in that age group, so I can relate to seeing friends after going to college, and times have changed. Show this to some guy in his mid 30's, and he just thinks hows he gonna pay the morgatge, or feed the kids. Its all relative, I guess.

I watched that movie and it was decent, but I never was able to bring myself to like the main character. 3/5

I know what you mean when you saw the ending. But did you walk away all happy and cheerful, or were you depressed, like I was? It just doesn't make sense.

HORRIBLE FVCKING MOVIE, DO NOT WASTE TIME WITH IT

Your reasons are intensely convicting.

I loved it. It might be a little too campy or dramatic for some people... It's like a perfect emo kid movie.

It was a movie about going from feeling nothing to feeling something. There were no meaningless parts, each one was filmed a certain way to convey a message. Wonderful movie, even more so considering it was Zach Braff's debut as a writer/director.

I just watched it 2 days ago and loved the movie, very good. I thought the over all story was good although somewhat predictable at times. Also for an indie movie i expecte it to be much weirder than it actual ebded up being. Big thumbs up!
Also yes Natalie Portman is gorgeous! but not the reason why i watched it.
*Note* her new movie Closer is really good!

also agree with DanTMWTMP, the song Let Go by Frou Frou ont he ST is realy good!

There is another thread about this movie here somewhere that i posted in.

I saw it a while ago, & loved it 🙂

One of the best movies i saw all last year!
