Here's a question... How strictly does Newegg match the shipping address/zip code with that on your bank/ATM/credit card?

I'm in one of the three US locations that charge tax if I have it sent to my house in NJ, but it's tax free sent to my apartment in Philly. The card is linked to the NJ address.

If i remember they charge tax on the address on the card, i may be wrong though.

Alright, so here's what we're looking at:

CPU
MoBo
RAM
GPU
HDD
DVD
PSU
Case
Monitor
OS

Looks good. Going to have to give them (newegg) a call tomorrow and see how they link up tax, because if they charge it to the card I'm going to wait until I get back to Philly so that I can switch the address to my apartment there. Not digging the whole $70+ in tax thing.

Great, one last question... Any upside to the Cyclone version of the 460? $20 more, seems to get better reviews, told it's much quieter. Thoughts?

Ordering as soon as I find the answer to this!

I really don't know, mike's outburst last night has me freaking out over the GPU lol. I want something that is going to be able to handle gaming solidly/on high settings without costing a ton... Is that already what I have? mnew has final say... What do you think?

Whelp, it is ordered!

Thank you so much to everyone for your help! Mnew and mfenn have special places in my heart, now

I threw on a G110 at the end of the order, shipped $1043 before MIR's.

I'm going to try and take a little picture journal of my first build, I'll be sure to throw it on here somewhere for C&C!

Thanks again!!

Aww

😀 But seriously, I'm sure you will like it.

More paranoia... Is this enough of a power supply? I've had people question whether or not it's going to be enough.

Yep, it will be plenty.

Should've went with the 560 kid.

mnewsham, would you also recommend the guy a 5770 for 2560 x 1600 res?

For 1920x1080 the GTX 460 is worth it he isn't playing 2560x1600 so no point in talking about it, minimum for 2560x1600 is SLI 570's or x-fire 6950's

As seen there the GTX 460 will play almost any game at 1920x1080 at playable frame rates in a few situations you might need to turn AA down or settings only to High, but for 100 savings it is worth it. you probably wont notice the difference anyway.

Holy crap, are you really that dense? Both your and mnewsham's charts (his is the correct resolution by the way) show the GTX 460 as being better performance per dollar. Not a ton better, but if the OP can't spend the extra $100, then he can't spend it. It's not like he got a terrible deal.

Looks like I might have my work cut out for me today! Might have a lot of questions for y'all, like you aren't used to it already! 😛

According to that chart the 5770 gives you the best performance per dollar @ 2560 x 1600 resolution.

those charts are clearly flawed..
