Gamescom: Dark Souls Trailer

Can't wait for this game. Demons Souls is still my favorite game on the PS3, even though the content is getting a little stale.
 
Demons Souls is the best game this gen. I've beat it 3 times and can't wait for Dark Souls. Hope they didn't make it easier or change much besides the levels. The game was perfect imo.

Looked good, really wanna figure out what song that was playing.
 
Well, regardless of which is better, I'm getting it for the 360 because me and my friends got tired of having to use our 360s to party chat while we played the game together on our PS3s.
 
cant freaking wait for this game! demons souls is the only single player game ive finished in 10 years lol

The few stories I've read in magazines have said it is just as hard, if not harder.

It's been out for a while in JP, not to mention US releases have leaked.

I'd prefer to keep myself as spoiler-free as possible.

And for those who played Demon's Souls, you don't really have to worry about what Dark Souls will contain; you know it is going to be awesome.
 
Wow, no love in this forum for Dark Souls.

I picked it up last night at the midnight release, and played a few hours. All I can say is that I LOVE it. Very, very similar to Demon's Souls, which is a very good thing. From Software appears to have taken the path of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If it was cool in the first game, enhance it!" Good theory, as the result is GLORIOUS!
 
Haha yeah, my "release date" copy from Amazon is showing up tomorrow.. From the package weight it does appears to be the CE version so that's nice at least since I pre-ordered it months ago.

Game is seriously awesome. Everything I loved about Demon's souls but better. Beat 3 bosses none of them were hard yet but I'm sure they'll get harder.

After beating dark souls 4 times, I'm sure I'll play this one at least as much.
 
Anyone have any insight on which version to get if you have both consoles?

I loved/hated the original.

EDIT: are there significant differences between the versions or does it just come down to which controller you prefer?

IGN said there is a little more slow down on 360 version but both have it. Personally, I think it would annoy me to use lb and rb for my block and light attack. Even though I get most things on 360 I got it for ps3 cuz I like the controller for this game.
 
Got my game for 20 dollars from kmart after using my 20 dollar coupons I got from Gears and Deus Ex. Plus I got another 20 from buying Dark Souls. Pretty sick.

Ordered the hardback futurepress guide from amazon and I'm supposed to have it tomorrow but it hasn't shipped yet. Not using it first playthrough of course. I just wanted it because it's like 400 pages and the bayonetta futurepress book goes for like 200 on EBay.
