it is not "gay", it is the intention of the developer to make you feel isolated. Sitting on skype and voice chatting with your friend through the game doesn't get the "vibe" that the developers want for this game.

people abusing the system in the first game caused them to use multiple servers and limits on the level difference. this now causes a lack of souls traversing into other players instance.

And I guess some Amazon pre-orders are also not CE versions now because they ran out of them. Just buy the regular version and download the mini-guide "somewhere", and you're all set.

There's plenty to be upset over. If you order a CE, you deserve to get a CE.

To each their own I guess.. I'd be happier with the regular version and an account credit or gift card. Seriously, look at some unboxing vids on youtube, it's pretty lame man.

I don't know how summoning your friends to help you is abusing the system. I know they want you to feel isolated, but if that's the case, why allow the ability to summon someone into your game?

And even if party chat and stuff is disabled, at least let me talk to whoever I summoned so we are on the same page with what we need to be doing. It just feels so disconnecting to see a phantom player running around with no way to communicate other than some basic gestures.

Man my PS3 can't handle this game. FPS drops so bad is some areas. I'm all for making games look better but not if the hardware can't handle it...

Yeah, I get frame-rate drops in some areas too. Anybody else? I have a 60GB fat launch model, for the record.

It happens on all systems psfat, pslim, 360. There are a few areas that are really bad but it isn't bothering me as much as maybe it should be.

Same thing here on a PS3 fat. Hopefully they release a patch to fix the issues soon. It's not horrible but it's definitely annoying.
 
Demon's Souls had lag in areas too. The game is ahead of its time for sure. It isn't game breaking and there definitely is the opportunity for patches to fix some of this. I can't wait to see another of these games on the PS4.
 
I just beat the Taurus demon. Barely got him on my first try.

Slow and steady is a good policy for this game 😀

Got my cleric to lv 17.. I think I'm close to ringing the first bell.. I heard another player ringing it... so I'd hope that I'm close.

Mace upgraded to +3.. need to improve my armor.. still in my chainmail that i bought from the first vendor..

I picked up a whole thief set of leather armor from a random corpse in one of the houses.. might be worth using for bosses where I need more mobility..
 
Anyone else here get to that area in the forest that you use a seal to open?

The guys there give me 1k and 2k souls each and they respawn when you camp. Seems like a bug to get that many souls from a kill. Plus with a campfire right next to the door, I really don't feel like dying matters as much anymore because I can just go get all the souls I want there. 10 minutes there is 10k+ souls easy.

I would HIGHLY suggest getting the Drake Sword. Really helps out the early game.

Love the game and think its great!

It's not a bug but it is too easy to farm souls there. Just like all the lamers using the Drake sword. From shouldn't have allowed that to happen so early.

It was just as easy in Demon's Souls. The sword from 4-1 you could get immediately. You could easily dupe anything, and if not, go to 4-2, shoot the guy at the beginning, collect souls, suicide and repeat.

Anyways, was level 35ish or so, just rang the 2nd bell, and my HD got corrupted or something like that. I now get to restart. Yay!
