Games you are glad got a sequel

The original Assassin's Creed is awesome. The combat is 100x more satisfying - raw and visceral. Even though Ezio shared a lot of Altaïr's moves, combat felt dumbed down in AC2, too flashy and extravagant, and with 'softer' impacts.

Also, AC1 had a much more interesting storyline in my opinion.

Ezio is a ponce, mincing around Venice in his fancy dress clothes, getting distracted by every piece of tail that crosses his path. Altaïr is more focused - the better assassin.

Finally, they didn't fix the controls. The AC2 control system is 90% as demented as the first game's was.

They were both boring as shit to play after the first mission.


As for me, Mount and Blade Warband was a drastic improvement over the first game, so love that game.
Stalker: COP was fucking amazing. Medivial 2 Total War was awesome, and Rome TW 2 looks amazing.

And... I think thats it for sequels.


I actually fell asleep while playing AC2. Got close with AC1.
