Nobody wants to give up a good online discount site for ordering games, especially ones a bit long in the tooth. It doesn't have to be the deal of the century, just everyday discounted low prices. Any thoughts?

Go to www.ignpc.com
www.gamespot.com
www.gamecenter.com

all have tons and tons and tons and tons and tons of reviews and previews of games out and ones soon to be out. You can take the opinions of others, but I'd suggest you read the reviews of their recommendations.

IMO I would try:
Half-Life TFC
Diablo II
Vampire the Masquerade (kinda buggy, long, and difficult, and not exactly like the table top, but still a goo game IMO)
Giants Citizen of Kabuto, looks pretty good.
Gangsters 2, coming soon
TFC II, coming soon, I hope
Empire Earth, coming soon
Warcraft III, coming soon

I know that's a lot of the coming soon, but I couldn't help it. The next year in gaming is going to be a GREAT YEAR. We've got the battle fo consoles flaring up btwn the Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube. WE've got tons of great looking games on the horizion. But if you're looking now, there is enough fun bundled in Diablo II and Half-Life TFC or counterstrike to last you for the next year.....

dougjnn,

Sorry, I didn't see your posts until today. Here some answers to your questions.
Crimson Skies is a flight sim. that focuses on fun and action, instead of technical issues. =) There are some imaginative missions and aircraft, and the game is, IMHO, very enjoyable.

For online retailers, I like Compuexpert.com, they have overall good prices, a great 48 hour madness section and some older games at low prices. Such as MDK2 (which I mentioned in my earlier post) for $9.90. I also use them as advertising on my site. =)

Hope this helps.

Most of the games have been mentioned here already, but I will give a quick run-down of what Ive played/been playing that I think is good.

Everquest-even though the graphics are dated, and some of the elements still suck after two years Im still hopelessly addicted(I played UO for a year before trying EQ).

Unreal Tournament-same as EQ, a little dated, but still one of my all time favorite games.

Deus Ex-Just an all around awesome game in the first-person.

Hitman:Codename47-another awesome first person game that requires more thought, with great graphics and a decent storyline.

Diablo2-I played Diablo for a year, I certainly wasn't going to pass up this title even though it seemed like it was delayed forever.

Giants:Citizen Kabuto-picked this title up based on Gamespot and friend's reviews. One of the most orginal first-person-adventure hybrid games Ive ever seen, with beautiful graphics to match.

I also have Motorcross Madness 2 which I couldn't get into as much as the first one, and Icewind Dale, but no time to play it.

Games I want to play, but havent picked up yet: Halflife:CS, Alice, Sacrfice, Baldur's Gate II.

Baldurs Gate II
Combat Mission

Sounds like I'll have to check into Deus Ex and Sacrifice (especially now that I upgraded my video card).

Best games Ive played recently, though not necessarily last year.
Freespace 1&2, 1 is absolutely fantastic, 2 is even better, something I thought was impossible.

StarCraft.
Jagged Alliance 2(found it laying around a few days ago, tried it, and loved it).
Baldurs Gate 2, I love roleplaying, what can I say? :)
And of course, Counter Strike.
